Rollins Planetarium is a well kept secret to many who have not visited this small North Georgia town. Part of the campus of Young Harris College, the planetarium offers star shows throughout the year on Friday nights for a small fee. Afterwards, if the weather permits, visitors can go to the observatory at Brasstown Valley Resort for additional stargazing. As... More

Spent the evening of May 17 2013 here, a really great experience, 3D in a different way! The Chronos Space Simulator star projector showed us the starry sky above us, and how it would look at different times of the year

We went with friends who had out-of-town guests on a very rainy Friday evening. Parking can be a problem if you've never been to the college before as there is a lot of construction taking place across the street from the planetarium. . There is adequate parking behind the planetarium and you can enter through the side entrance. For $3... More

This should not be confused with a big time planetarium like the Adler in Chicago, but if you get a chance to catch an exhibit or show here do not miss it. The seating is very comfortable and the people in charge really know their stuff. The hands-on show for the transit of Venus across the face of the sun... More
