We visit this park quite often, sometimes just to ride through. This is a nice quiet park, a great place to get back to nature, whether walking trails, sitting by the lake, or just riding around. I have been to the beach, had picnics, been to the playgrounds, and it is a great place to visit. State Park fee is... More

This was my first visit to this particular Georgia state park, and as with so many other state parks I was not disappointed. The trails are primarily noted for mountain biking (rentals available at the park office) there are also about 9 miles of multi use trails. I chose the Lake loop trail. It is primarily a level trail with... More

Its a great place to visit, with a lake and lots of forest and green space. A good family outing for a Bbq or over night camping.

We made a quick trip between Christmas and New Years in 2013. We found the park to be quiet, relaxing and overall a good place to stay. We felt the check-in and check-out process was easy and liked the small camp store they had. The state park system offers a Geocaching Tour which is a free program to participate in... More

All sites are neat and clean. New rest room facilities in both campground areas. Rangers are very helpful, and try and make sure your stay is very pleasant.

This park is great place for family! We love the beach in the summer and my husband thinks the disc golf course is the best around! The hiking and bike trails are great for beginners or more advanced biker/hikers.

Great cottages! Beautiful hiking and tons of geocaching :-) Can't wait to visit again! Looking forward to getting on the lake, when there's some warmer weather.

We spent two days in one of the yurts at Ft. Yargo State Park in Winder. We usually tent-camp, and going back to a tent will be hard after our time in a yurt. We've camped at Ft. Yargo several times, but this was our first time in a yurt. We reserved yurt #2, which has a great location and... More
