This state park has something for everyone - picnic, hiking, lake and beach. Locals should buy annual pass for clean swimming area plus visiting other parks in state. They are growing their historical block house area. Park is conveniently located off of I85-check it out!

We took a last minute weekend get away, and were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations. The cabins were spotless, and not the ordinary camp ground cabins I remember from my childhood. There is a small living area with a pull out sofa, two chairs, and TV. The kitchen has a full size stove, fridge, microwave, and plenty of cabinets. There... More

We really love this beach, the water is clean and clear for a lake. We have rented canoes in the past, you can also rent paddle boats, paddle boards (they have life jackets too) and we hope to rent one of the yurts in the future. The park is very clean, mini put put golf, disk golf, hike, bike and... More

We went here for our mini-vacation this year and stayed for four days. It is really wonderful. We stayed in their new Camper Cabins which is really a two bedroom house with an enclosed screened back porch that is Huge. You do have to provide all your own linens, toiletry items, and kitchenware. But once unpacked, it was like being... More

Fort Yargo State Park is absolutely wonderful! It is also the only state park in GA that is located within the city limits. But don't let that fool you. It is beautiful and the campsites are great. I highly recommend a visit to the Park. If fact I wrote an article featuring a 93-year old lady who grew up in... More

unless your in to riding bike trails, this place doesn't offer much. you can camp here, but you could sleep on your back porch just as well. its always crowded, too crowded, and while i live within just a few miles, i'd probably never go back...

This is a great park with possibilities for camping, non-motorized boating, picnicking, a small historic village and usual park facilities. It is located in Winder, Georgia and is a bit of quiet but is near shopping if you need anything for your visit.

Lots of roads and trails to walk. Good fishing areas. Camping area is clean and well kept. Good area to walk pets away from the highway.

Came for a picnic, fishing and pedal boats. Wished I could find more information online so I posted some pictures of the rental rates they had listed. Beautiful state park for families to spend time together and get back to nature.

This is a great place to fish or hike! I just wish they had swings for babies! But overall a great place!
