Beautiful park, awesome shelters for groups, great walking trails, but the lake had been drained and we were hoping to go fishing.

What a gem. This was a lovely state park. We just had some time to kill after going to the Okefenokee and drove over. We hiked a nice flat trail through the woods and over by the lake. It is a very clean park and the people there were very friendly. I would recommend a visit for picnics, afternoon hikes,... More

Beautiful scenery, fascinating wildlife. Clean and neat. Only downside was the bicyclist who got her ankle chewed by a local bulldog---careful!

My family loves to visit the Laura S. Walker State Park. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to do. The lake area is gorgeous and a great place to spend the day!

We drove through this park on our way home from General Coffee State Park. We took this opportunity to check it out. It is a very small park as far as number of spaces for travel trailers. Several sites are directly on the lake. Pretty but they do not have any trees or shade for the lakefront sites. As you... More

We were geocaching our way through the park. The park volunteer at the gate was VERY helpful and pleasant. There were some nice trails, and pretty views around the lake. Work is in progress to upgrade the RV camping area.

We were there in January 2014 and not to much was going on, but we took a nice leisurely drive through the grounds. Looks great for camping and boating and a nice walk. We then drove around the lake and hiked one of the short trails down to the lakes observation area.

Kayaks, bike trails, BBQ pits and swimming all available for a small parking fee of $5. Kayaks were $8 per hour, but well worth it. Take a trip across the way under the bridge to see nature at its best.

We camped here for a few nights toward the end of spring break. The park is beautiful and well maintained, so are the hiking trails. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I think could be improved is the way the camping area is set up. There are 2 driveway loops with the sites located along... More
