We really enjoyed the hiking trails that went along the water and back into the woods. Easy walking and lots to see.

Camping at Laura Walker State Park is great! Like Georgia State Parks, you don't "reserve" a spot, you make a reservation and pick your spot from the ones available when you arrive. The campsites are being upgraded, the lake has been drawn down to accommodate the completion of a walkway over the lake connecting hiking trails. This is a State... More

Local state park that is great for family pickniks and grilling out. they've a pool and a nice play yard for the kids. You have sites for RV hookups and tents for the family who is into camping. Lots of walking trails. Young and old will love this place.

Picturesque state park. I like to cut-through here en route to the Okeefenokee swamp Park. Great for pic-nicks....take bug spray however.

The playground is perfect for kids. They have plenty of buildings to rent. They also have plenty of shelters with grills to rent. The only issue I have is the $5.00 park fee. It can get costly so we don't go that much. I think a dollar or two would be a better price. You can pay for a yearly... More

We camped there for two nights. We planned on staying here so we could attend a family reunion and because I have great childhood memories of this park. Unfortunately, the lake had been drained since last fall and it might be drained for a year or so. The smell from the mud was atrocious. The purpose for the draining was... More

What a gem. This was a lovely state park. We just had some time to kill after going to the Okefenokee and drove over. We hiked a nice flat trail through the woods and over by the lake. It is a very clean park and the people there were very friendly. I would recommend a visit for picnics, afternoon hikes,... More

If you're local and need a place to gather the family and have a nice day out, this place is great. Near Halloween they host a hay ride and a variety of activities that my kids love.

Beautiful scenery, fascinating wildlife. Clean and neat. Only downside was the bicyclist who got her ankle chewed by a local bulldog---careful!
