We loved the drive and saw some gators and a very cool logging operation. They told us at the visitor center that the house would be open for tours at 9:30 when we arrived there at 10 there was no one around. We hung around until 10:30 and still no one. Otherwise a must see! More

We took the sunset tour of the swamp on a beautiful evening. Our guide Chip knew everything about the Okefenokee and was courteous and answered all questions. As our boat went smoothly up the river we saw several alligators and then at sunset were treated to the sight of two Sand Hill Cranes! They didn't seem to mind that the... More

We enjoyed the 3 hours we spent there including the swamp tour, the train ride and the theatre bit whe we got to touch snakes and alligators. The alligators are everywhere and it's the closest we've been to them. The guides are very good and we... More

Arrived for our boat tour at 9:00am, chose the extended tour. We saw 117 alligators, 8 turtles, a flock of Ibis, great blue heron, sand cranes, kingfisher...too many birds to remember. Seeing the swamp reawaken following the nine month fire is amazing. Enjoyed the historic homestead and the drive around, but the best was seeing the swamp on the water.... More
