What a great historical site! I really, really enjoyed this attraction. It's not a lot of walking but a smig but so enjoyable. Loved seeing the house and secret service shed, staff quarters, etc. I bought the movie DVD, Warm Springs with Cynthia Nixon, it was very good. The book store was excellent. The little town was very, very nice.... More

Nice, clean park with some awesome trails. Enjoyed the hike and stayed right inside of FDR in a cabin built 80 years ago. Lots of history and the views are terrific. Visit your local Georgia library to get a parking pass, good for 7 days.

My husband & I love visiting this park. We have camped here before too and it is really nice in the campgrounds. There is a lot of hiking that you can do and a lot of great views!! This park is pretty dog friendly, they let us bring our dog into the main visitor center when we were getting maps... More

First time for us RV camping here and when we arrived it was raining and getting darker in the evening, so we picked a campsite quickly in section 2 near the lake. OK location, but we found section 5 to have really nice camping sites with plenty of room between campers. Nice park to explore hiking and enjoying the view... More

After some searching we decided on FDR state park for our first rv camping trip based on reviews. We found the staff to be helpful and the views to be amazing! Dowdell's Knob was stunning and was even cooler knowing that FDR used to visit regularly. Upon arrival we found almost all rv sites taken and had to settle for... More

We came up here over the weekend, it was my second visit to the park. This time we hiked mainly on the Pine Mountain trail -- the weather is excellent right now and the views were pretty remarkable. It was really nice to be able to get away from the city for a while and breathe some fresh air. We... More

This is our 3rd visit to the park. It is a beauty of a park. I believe we have had the 3 best sites in our 3 visits. 204 this visit right on the lake. 201 at top of hill but still on lake. 203 across from 204. All lovely sites. 204 is the best due to directly on the... More

We stayed here two nights. Cottage 16 is a nice little two bedroom cabin, with a great view of the lake. Cabin was clean and well equipped. I did not catch any fish. The one I hooked got off before landing it: a small bass. Temperature was in the 40's. As such, I did not fish longer than 40 minutes.... More
