We rented a cottage(dog friendly) for a couple of nights last week. The cottage was very spacious and well equipped. There is no TV which I see as a bonus but some may not. There are 22 cottages and over 1/2 of them are being totally renovated. This park is very well situated between the Little White House attraction and... More

We rode into this on Saturday when we left the Little White House and were going to the Warm Springs Historical Swimming Pool where FDR swam. There is a nice size lake and seems to be a lot of trails. Looks like they have probably camp during the summer. Seems to be a part of the Polio Rehabilitation center that... More

Only one complaint. I have never had to buy a parking pass on top of site fees. The staff we're welcoming and very friendly.

We were going to attempt a first cold weather camping trip on a whim after Christmas. I booked a campsite for two nights at the park 5 days before leaving. Of course everything went wrong in those 5 days so by the time we made it to F. D. Roosevelt to check in we'd missed a night already and the... More

If you drive between Warm Springs and Callaway Gardens you can take the road thru FDR State Park. It is a nice drive and has beautiful views of the area.

We made it a family tradition to visit the park each year the first week of November. It is really beautiful there. We always stopped at Dowdell's knob, one of FDR's favorite places and set up the tripod and take family photos with the valley behind us. The view is spectacular. It's really peaceful and we have seen a lot... More

We went to Pine Mountain to see the fall foliage and rode through FDR State Park. Very nice colors and beautiful views. If you like hiking this is a really nice place to hike and enjoy the fall leaves. This week they should be peaking.
