Make sure you buy cans, not bottles, if you plan to take beer. Check out the surfers at the beach access east of the lighthouse.

My kids and I loved this beach. Board walk access at many street locations provided a short walk from our Tybee house rental. Sand and water were perfect although I would expect that the surf was pretty small if you area serious surfer. It was fine for my ~10 yr old kids and their body boards. We visited in August... More

The pavilion is spacious and serves refreshments along with providing restrooms. The tides here move so far up the beach that the fishing pier seems a little too... More

Visited in October so there were no crowds. Obviously did not swim, but was a nice beach for walking and running. Having to find a parking spot on the street and pay was a pain even when it was so dead.

I loved this beach. Not crowded when I was there, which makes me like it even more. It was beautiful, the surf was awesome and it was great to have dolphins swimming not too far from where we were in the water. The lifeguards are fantastic. I had the chance to chat with one of the young ladies who works... More

Our family goes to Tybee every year. We love the scenery and the shops that are close by. Sometimes we find sand dollars in the water which is a plus because we are always looking for little critters along the beach.

It's a beach. Nothing real exciting to rate here. But, it is rather clean and there are bench swings all around the portion near the lighthouse that very comfortable and definitely worth a few minutes of your time.

The beach was clean. We walked the beach and found a sea star and sand dollar and many cool looking sea shells on the beach.I would recommend the Tybee Island beach.

Beach was nice and clean. Not a lot of people. Large ships come by and it was awesome to see. We picked up nice shells and took long walks.
