I love coming here when I'm staying on the island. This is beach is small, but super clean and has great views! The sand is so nice, and its super relaxing to walk up and down the shore while collecting shells and things. My only complaint is that in the heat of the day it can get a bit crowded,... More

Our condo was right on this marvelous beach area which had recently been "renourished" - what an incredible stretch of beautiful sand - we enjoyed beach walks every day and it is well attended by people from all around. Well maintained, clean, lots of shells for those of us interested in gathering. It is what makes Tybee Island a destination.

Tybee Island is not all it's cracked up to be. Although we visited in January, there was no where you could park without paying. Is all we wanted to do was see the beach and we had to pay to park. The beach was beautiful but just to walk it cost $. The pier was not very nice, the people... More

I would like it more if it were not so pricey to park. 25 dollars a day is pretty expensive for a day out. The beach is pretty nice itself. It is usually clean and well kept. Accomodations are ok but are pricey to say the least. The beach area seems to be in a bit of transition as the... More

Clean and well kept beach. Easy to swim, even for small children. Umbrella's and chairs are up for rental. We paid $20 a day for an umbrella. When we visited the beach got quite crowded starting from 1PM. Perfect for a day out.

We love the fact that the beach entrance to the water is so flat. It's easy to just walk out into the ocean. We particularly like the northern strip of the beach which is strictly beach without the restaurants and commercial businesses. We've never been to Tybee without seeing the dolphins that come so close to shore. There's also an... More

We loved it. Reminded us of Daytona a lot but cute with the shops and stuff close by. I couldn't get kids to leave!!

Watch out for the seagulls! They are very friendly but come in a massive flock. They will eat out of your hand.

Though the water was a bit too cold to swim, walking along the beach in the morning was beautiful- there are so many shells and creatures! We found sand dollars, pufferfish, jellyfish...etc. I would NOT recommend swimming there during the winter anyways as there were many large, pink jellyfish in the waters. The sunset over the beach is breath-taking.
