beautiful water. Loved when the tide went out and you could walk about a 1/4 of a mile out on the sand.

We felt that the beach area was fine. They have a good pier from which you can fish. Almost any water activity is possible. We went in the off season, less people and we enjoyed walking the beach.

The rating of poor comes from a dog lover and Tybee prohibits dogs from everywhere. Many dog friendly beaches you can go to where you are not harassed by local government about your dog.

We stayed at the Happy Holiday Motel. I always choose a small motel to stay and it was good. it was safe, clean and just enough room for me.

Nice place for wading in November. It made us feel like summer was back. The pier provided a good place to site dolphins and the breeze was just right for kite flying. You might want to explore North Beach near the Tybee light house also. Quieter and more relaxing

The beach on the east edge of the island has major construction going on. We were still able to access and enjoy, but the view is currently less than stellar.

Split on this one as wife liked it, while I thought it was rather drab. Didn't understand the parking at all, but I'm also used to Panama City Beach, where there's plenty of free parking with easy beach access. We went on a cool spring night right before sunset. Beach was not crowded at all. There were plenty of birds,... More

I love this beach, it is beautiful, and peaceful, very clean, and dolphins EVERYWHERE!!! You can take your whole family, it is family friendly. We are renewing our vows on the pier in 2016.

The area around the pier has a lot of construction going on. Looked like a dredging effort of sorts. You could only walk so far on each side of the pier before a worker blew a whistle or sounded an air horn. But I know this was for safety reasons. We did find a bunch of sand dollars which was...
