Being a classic car owner the poor weather was a perfect excuse, if one was needed, to pay a visit here. Have been to many motor museums - large and small - all over the country. Although not the biggest this is a wonderful place with thousands of exhibits as well as a great collection of vintage and classic vehicles.... More

I've rated this as very good if you are visiting with children. You have the option to complete a quiz on the way round as you view the vehicles and other transport related memorabilia. This requires your child to read a large number of the exhibit information panels to determine the correct answer and therefore you are there for a... More

We visited on New Years Eve as the weather was a bit grim so aside from the walk between the main building and the Bluebird Exhibition it was all under cover. It looks small-ish from the outside but the cars are packed in there with inches to spare and there is plenty to see. There is a set route round... More

We visited here today (28th Dec). From the outside it didn't look like there would be much inside but looks were deceiving. Lots and lots of motoring memorabilia aswell as a Donald Campbell exhibition about the Bluebird etc. Nice cafe on site too.

I am always interested in poor and terrible reviews to discover what has spoiled a meal, hotel or attraction. So many are minor moans which could have been addressed at the time by talking to someone. I am always pleased to see reviews which claim "I know a bit about...food, wine, hotels, cars" and then go on to prove that... More

Very interesting covering all aspects of motor, from pedal cars to land/water speed records. There are literally thousands of exhibits crammed into this museum, whether your into bikes, cars or trucks there is something for everyone. You can even take a walk along the river. If your there at lunch time I recommend the cafe, good food nicely priced.
