This museum is not just for the guys and it's just the right size for it to stay interesting. Plenty of cars and motorbikes with placards giving information like what does FIAT stand for. Yours to find out. Cafe just outside with drink/food at reasonable prices ovelooking the river. Wonderful.

We went to the museum first and the lady explained about the museum, steam train and boat combined ticket which was really great. You park at the museum and then get the free shuttle bus to the train and boat station. You can then ride the steam train or take the lake cruise and then swap and do the other.... More

Husband wanted to drag me round the Lakeland Motor Museum but was far more enjoyable than I thought. The Campbell Bluebird exhibition was very interesting. Would recommend for all ages.

Scary to see cars which formed a normal part of your own life in a museum. Kids thought it was very funny. Well laid out in chronological order and enough detail without getting boring. Bluebird exhibition is OK, but boys disappointed not to find any models for sale in the shop other than a vastly overpriced collectors model.

No you're not- we're all young at heart and thats what counts! we do think its amusing that it was a source of humour for the younger generation of your family though. Thank you very much for your lovely review- we're very pleased you all enjoyed our museum. The models that you mentioned that we sell in our gift shop... More

Lots of cars in good condition, toy car, cycles, motorbikes, everything really shiny and we'll looked after. The grounds are well presented too. Penny arcade was interesting. The Campbell / Bluebird exhibition was little disappointing as it was full of fibreglass replicas. The Campbell video was interesting though. Definately worth a visit

Many thanks for your lovely review of our museum. We're very pleased you found it all so interesting and your remarks regarding everything being so well looked after- its a labour of love! Had an enjoyable visit on a rainy day on our trip to the Lake district. The price was not too bad £23 for a family of 4 , though our own similar Glasgow Riverside museum is free ! Great selection of cars, motorbikes and bicycles all in pristine condition, and also the Bluebird museum was included and was very interesting... More

Many thanks for your lovely review of our museum. We're so pleased you enjoyed it and found it so interesting. Our museum is completely self-funding and so we rely upon the admission fee to keep going! The Riverside museum in Glasgow is funded by a number of government agencies and charitable organisations and hence can offer free admission. We are... More

Interest for the motor enthusiast plus motor bikes and cycles. The bluebird section was good. The old slot machines were good for the kids.

We got to the museum with a little under an hour before they closed, the boys went into the museum and the girls took advantage of the coffe shop. It was a pleasant surprise when the cashier said they would only charge 2 of us for entry. It is definitely worth the visit, lots of interesting exhibits of both cars... More
