The museum is fascinating. The displays include cars, motorbikes, scooters, push-bikes, toy cars, model cars and much more. It brought back memories of my early motoring years in the late 1960s. The cafe is good, we had tea and home made scones which were very fresh and very crumbly, served with clotted cream and jam.

I accompanied my husband on a visit to the motor museum thinking it would be boring. How wrong could I be! We spent a considerable time looking around this museum which was absolutely fascinating. Not just cars and motorbikes.....but everything related to transport. Also, local industries and businesses. Add to this the Bluebird exhibition, and the quirky little caravans, and... More

The cleanest tidiest museum I have ever visited. They must spend all day cleaning and polishing all the exhibits. Not just cars but motorbikes, pedal cycles, the history of the area and its industry. Just lots and lots of interesting information. Great cafe there too.

Memories abound. It's a sign of advancing years when motor musuems display a lot of cars from your youth...... This collection was originally housed at Holker Hall, which is where I first saw it, that display was a bit haphazard but great nontheless. This new venue seems more polished and organised but we felt that making money was more important... More

We were lucky to coincide our visit here with a "drive it day", where people with classic cars are invited to turn up, park in the car park and show off their cars. We arrived pretty early and there were already around 30 cars. The museum was good, lots of interesting memorabilia to look at. We still got around it... More

What a great place. Plenty to see and a great restaurant and food (next to the car park). Variety of cars and motorbikes, new and old. Would recommend to all ages as everywhere in the building is accessible by foot or via a lift.

Visited here today with my partner. Some fabulous cars (mostly vintage) and some that brought back memories of my childhood e.g. Austin Allegro, Ford Fiesta, RS Cosworth etc. Also, in a separate 'warehouse' is a fascinating display of Donald Campbell & Malcolm Campbell's display of their record attempts with the bluebird. Well worth a visit even if your really not... More

A good collection of vintage cars, bikes and even some aircraft. Good information on the exhibits. Don't expect much in the way of interaction with the displays, but well worth a visit.

Well worth a visit. The vehicles on show are bit different from what is normally shown in motor museum and imaginatively displayed and includes quite a few motorcycles and bicycles.. An amazing collection of motoring memorabilla. Separate exhibition on Donald Campbell is worth seeing.
