Although not motoring enthusiasts my husband and I and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Lots to see - cars of all ages, motorcycles, bicycles by the hundred, toy cars and much much more - and don't forget to visit the Donald Campbell exhibition. The tearoom was good too and although there is ample parking we took the ferry to... More

Despite not being a big petrol head I enjoyed the museum and reading about the history of all the cars especially the older and obscure ones. There are quite a few other modes of transport and memorabilia which is interesting. My father in law loved all the old motorbikes although my wife and mother in law didn't find it as... More

Entrance fee was included in our Cruise with Windermere Lake cruises so very good value. Museum was very well laid out with plenty for everybody to see from Cars, motorbikes, Toys and motoring memorabilia. Everything was well labeled and presented. The separate building for Donald Campbell's record breaking cars and boats was also very informative. Cafe was good with seating... More

Lakeland Motor Museum is not just a collection of cars. There are cycles, motorcycles, pedal cars, period costume displays and a lot of auto memorabilia on display so the whole family should find something of interest. Having been to the famous 'Beaulieu' museum I (and my wife) much prefered Lakeland Museum and will go again in the future. If you... More

Decided to pay a visit, it was reallly interesting the exhibits were very well presented and in good condition, there is lots to see, the cafe was spotlessly clean and the food good and reseonably priced with a lovely view over the river, the Campbell exhibition was informative, however I feel that £8 was to expensive and at most an... we were surprised just how much there was to see in this museum, it is well organised and there was much more to see than we originally thought. The separate Bluebird exhibit is well worth a visit and the film showing is very touching There is also a excellent restaurant onsite with lovely views over the river

Would have liked to see a few more 70s and 80s vehicles but looks like they need more space. The 3000 items includes lots of model cars and little things so not a huge amount of vehicles.
