Well worth a visit. If you remember the cars or bikes of your childhood you are sure to see one that you saw back then. If you forgot them then come and be reminded. Something for everyone.

We went to Lakeland on our first day in the lakes we paid to go in and saw everything from cars to motor bikes going on to push bikes. The TT area was a 10 out of 10 and totally liked after doing the main museum we went to the Bluebird display and this made my day to see the... More

This place is brilliant. There is so much to see here, not only cars but motorbikes, pushbikes and other car related items. I didn't think I would enjoy this place but my husband wanted to go and I am so glad we did. Also some things to interest women (vintage clothing etc) and a nice tribute to the men of... More

We have visited the Lakeland Motor Museum many times & thoroughly enjoy looking at all the many forms of transport displayed, along with the videos that can be watched on aspects of motoring history & the history of the Backbarrow area & the mill in which the museum is housed. Something for everyone with an enquiring mind - you don't have... More

Excellent little motor museum, lots of cars, bikes and motorbikes to see. Saw my 1st car which I must admit did look old and basic. A must for all car lovers.

Not one of the biggest compared to others, and certainly not space-wise, but if you combine the railway and the Lakes it's well worth a visit. It is true that space is cramped but as someone has said, it means they can fit more in. And on balance I'd rather that than a sparse looking museum with plenty of room... More

I've been wanting to visit the Lakeland Motor Museum for a while now, so on Tuesday, my father and I loaded up our motorbikes on Tuesday and had a ride over to the lakes. Upon arrival, we parked our bikes in the large car park across the road from the museum. After paying the admission of £8 each in the... More

We have visited the museum on several occasions since it opened, and each time there is something new to see. There are cars there that all us 60+ people can relate to and it also has a area with the history of the Leven Valley in which the museum is. It is housed in part of the old "Dolly Blue"... More

This doesn't only have motors it has bicycles, motor bikes, peddle cars, clothing and toy displays and all kinds of memorabilia plus a Donald Campbell museum.
