Church is only open a few afternoons, nice to visit, but don't miss the cemetery with lots of historic gravestones and spanish moss. During a home tour in late March they have actors popping up from the gravestones telling their stories, sorry we missed it!

What a beautiful church. The stained glass is gorgeous and the Tiffany stained glass is in a league of its own. The grounds are hallowed cemetery and the majestic oaks are lovely. There is a Celtic cross at the center of a winding path through a garden and the history is spectacular. A must see for fans of the Wesley... More

It was closed the day we went by. But worth seeing. History makes it a more special church. I guess no nails, built by shipbuilders. Tiffany glass inside.

The steadfast perseverance of this early Christian fellowship in Georgia is evidenced in the tender care for and glorious beauty of this church. The setting among magnificent overarching trees is like a cathedral within a cathedral. While most of the current structure and furnishings were replaced after the civil war devastation, this site has been the continuous home to a... More

Set in a large tract of land and surrounded by a historical graveyard, this church seems to rise out of the gardens in which it is placed. The grounds are beautiful and since we visited during Easter week, the church was at its finest. There are special windows depicting the Wesleys and other events of the area. The tree under... More

This is a beautiful little church with amazing history, and grounds. There is an old cemetery worth seeing, strange as it might seem. The original families are buried there as is world renown author Eugenia Price. Historical and interesting. Can not be buried there unless you are from there, or have "dispensation"! Interesting place!

Worth the visit to see this charming, historic, and quaint church. Try to go inside, the ceilings and stained glass are gorgeous! The oak trees are spectacular, nestled around the old cemetery plots - not to be missed!

This is the perfect site for reflection. The docents are friendly and knowledgeable. The grounds are well maintained and full of history. I would also consider this site for a marriage or vow renewal ceremony. Be sure to check out the blooming Camilla trees draped with Spanish moss. Haunting beautiful! The memorial to the Wesley brothers is within a comfortable... More

We visited Christ Church after having been lost in some of the sub divisions on St. Simons. The church was still decorated for Easter including an 8 foot cross completely covered with flowers. The stained glass windows in the church are beautiful and the story that the volunteer told us was extremely interesting. The church is surrounded by a very... More
