I wasn't able to go inside the church but I strolled the beautiful grounds which has lots of oak trees (and a cypress tree outside the front fence). Very peaceful and serene. It's worth dropping by if you're in the area.

I love this church and cemetery and the history that surrounds it. It is breathtaking inside and out. Be warned ... it is closed to the public on Monday. Before you go, read the history of this place (I did through reading Eugenia Price's books) before you go and you will enjoy it more.

This is a beautiful church and it is open to the public for tours. Take your camera. The stain glass is breath taking. Enjoy a peaceful stroll through the cemetery.

A docent offers background inside the church between 2 and 5PM. The small church is surrounded by an historic cemetery which is still in operation. The gardens across the street are worth a visit as well. History here and on this small island made a national impact.

I wanted to visit this cemetery after seeing it online and I'm so glad we did. The gardens surrounding the church are beautiful and on the day we visited the sunshine coming through the trrtops made some beautiful photo ops. We found several interesting tombstones and the whole area was just beautiful. We recommend this cemetery to anyone who finds... More

I love this little church especially after reading the books by Eugenia Price that are so rich in the history of this area.

Very historic and lovely cemetery in the Live Oak covered in Spanish Moss. Peaceful and enchanted stroll among the 250 year old graves.

Christ Church is a beautiful little church on St Simons Island and one worth visiting. It was founded by Charles Wesley, I believe, so it's been in existence for awhile. I've not had a chance to go in, but the stained glass windows are supposed to be very nice. I enjoy the cemetery. It's huge and sprawls all over the... More

This beautiful church is small, but has so much island history! Plan a tour of the church to view the stained glass windows and walk through the cemetery to see the markers of early colonial settlers. Read some books about the area before you visit to better appreciate the names of history you will see. Be sure to photograph some... More

If you like to tour churches, this one is pcturesque and has a lot of history. It is where the Wesley brothers preached for a while and has some nice stained glass.
