Amazing stained glass on all sides. It doesn't look much on the outside, but inside, WOW!

The docent was full of facts and congenial. My wife picked up the recipe book which he had available for the local cooks' "secret" concoctions. (She is very picky and critical of most conglomeration cookbooks, but found this one very worthwhile.) A stroll through the cemetery is also an interesting sojourn for any SSI visitor.

The docent's tour, explaining the history of the church, cemetery and all the stained glass windows added a great deal of depth and detail to our lifelong appreciation of St. Simons Island.

We were fortunate to visit Christ Church, Frederica when the azaleas were in full bloom! Wow! If you love the beauty and history of old cemeteries, this one is not to be missed. Check out the Wesley Garden across the street as well.

We enjoyed this church and all the history that surrounds you. It is well marked and a great way of enjoying a couple of hours on this island

This is a beautiful and historic Anglican (Episcopal) church. It was the first church on the island, and served as the only community meeting place on the island for many years, so a visit to this church can tell you a lot about Island history. There are close ties to John and Charles Wesley (who were here before any church... More

Very interesting if you want to know a little history about Charles and John Wesley. The church had some very good examples of what life was like back then.

Just off the traffic circle on the north end of the island is a quaint church in a peaceful setting. Although the church is not always open a look inside is worth the trip.

Historic church with wonderful stained glass and a long history on St. Simon. The church was constructed by shipbuilders using post & beam with pegs. The heart of pine interior has never been stained or treated since the church was constructed and it is beautiful. The cemetery has the graves of many important people who lived in the area. Well...
