Right in the heart of bustling Roswell sits an 1800's estate, Barrington Hall. I went there for the first time on July 4th to catch a Blue Grass band that was performing for visitors and was really surprised. From the columned porch of the Main House you can oversee much of the grounds surrounding the Civil War era buildings. The... More

My daughter took me the Historic Trilogy Houses and this is one of them! It took my breath away at how lovely it is. There is a big porch and many columns and I would love to sit out there all day with a glass of tea and look at the lovely garden. The parking lot is by the house... More

We visited this home first and were pleasantly surprised at the first room that we went into. It was a room that had dress up stuff for the children, toys and everything in it you could touch. Such a great idea and it helped throughout the rest of the very nice tour for the children to understand they could not... More

Historical gem. Within walking distance of food, libation and other historical venues, including same-era architecture. History done as right as it can be in modern-day settings! Same as for the other delights in Roswell!

I have lived in Atlanta for over 30 years and one question that I get repeatedly from out of town quests is where can they go to see Antebellum home from the old south. Most people have forgotten that Sherman set most of Atlanta on fire and eliminated all of the old south homes and businesses. Barrington Hall is one... More

Since Atlanta GA was burned down by Gen. William Sherman in 1864, there are not much historical site near Atlanta. I guess that is the reason why Barrington Hall become one of the attraction. I visited many mansions and historical sites in US before. So this place is not that great to me. Except learning more story of the American... More

this is a great place to visit. I do have to say that I fell in love with the place back in the 1990's when it was still owned by the original family and they lived there. The older southern ladies would sit on the porch in rocking chairs and tell stories about old Roswell. Since then the location has... More

Tours are on the hour, while you wait on the porch. It's cash at the door unless you bought your tickets at the tourist centre. The tour is almost a personal tour, as you start by sitting in the drawing room, and then move through the house and learn the history of Roswell, and the family home. The tour guide... More

The tours began on the hour, every hour. My daughter and I raced over there after visiting the great Roswell Vistor's Center. We got there at 10:01. We rang the bell and NO ONE would let answer the door. I have since heard they are very inflexible. Don't waste your time on this one. Very disappointed in this place!

We visited the second home of the Trilogy on our way back to Atlanta after seeing Bulloch Hall a week earlier. We had planned to visit all three at once, but realised that it would be too rushed. The tours start and finish on the hour, and you need time to look at the gardens and travel from one house... More
