This private non-profit nature center with a Discovery Center that includes a Nature Exchange and Exhibits, plus a Theatre is focused on interpreting the Chattahoochee River Watershed. With 127 acres of woodland and wetland trails the Nature Center has several well marked walking trails and a river boardwalk with rehabilitated animals along the route. Beautiful butterfly gardens and Georgia's eco-regions are emphasized. The Unity Garden is a great place to learn about sustainable community gardening. Bring a picnic, visit the Nature Store, watch the movie (Re-Imagine the Chattahoochee) and enjoy learning about the Chattahoochee River and environs and the native plants and animals that call this place home.

Nice for young children, there is a stage for entertainment. Schedules vary. Small museum offers live snakes with a good variety. A educational experience is offered here. The zoo like outdoor area has a small amount of animals, that includes a beaver family, Eagles nest and others, pretty walking trails across from a lake that has a boardwalk. A pleasant... More

this was not our intended destination but where driving by and decided to stop. What a great decision. I LOVED the butterfly encounter!! A great place to take kids for fun and education. We saw them setting up a party in the outdoor pavilion - what a beautiful location.

We love Chat-Nat! Our family had season passes last year. But this year, after going for several years in a row, we decided not to renew. The place is great and they take care of a lot of animals that otherwise wouldn't make it, but generally, the Center doesn't change much. They do put on little gatherings and events, but... More

The nice woman at the visitor center in Alpharetta suggested this as a possbiity. There is a friendly staff, some interesting exhibits and some enjoyable and educational trails including a boardwalk along the edge of the river. They had a fun butterfly exhibit and some interesting birds including owls, hawks and bald eages. My one complaint is the fencing kept... More

A great family day out and fun for all, the park is spread out over a few hiking trails with animals on every walk. Also a good learning experience and good interaction with the butterflys in the butterfly enclosure. The staff are frendly and helpful.

The CNC and surrounding nature trails in the area are all great for casual walks. Only warning is that in some areas, there can be alot of foot traffic. However, if you walk more than 1/2 mile, it typically thins out enough to enjoy the peace and quite. Also, if you go on off times, then its alot better in... More

Brought my grandkids here and they loved it. They've been a few times before but were acting as excited as they probably were the first time. The day was hot, hot HOT, so we mostly stayed inside. The kids (both boys) love snakes and other crawly things and this place did not disappoint when it came to them seeing all... More

This is an overlooked nature center just off the Chattahoochee River. A great gem in Roswell with woodland and river trails. Rehabilitated animals are on site to view and the new visitor center is enjoyable for all ages. Be sure to view the film.

Spent few hours to walk around. Liked the butterflies experience. Indoor activities are not so good as outdoor ones though.
