Chattahoochee Nature Center is one of the hidden jewels of North Atlanta. If you like to hike or just get out in Nature you will love this place. If you are a nature photographer you will have countless opportunities for photos. The butterfly festival is fantastic. It allows you to get up close with many varieties of butterflies. The price... I recently booked a custom canoe trip for a group of senior citizens. The guides, Alicia and Sam were fantastic! The trip was a first for many of the paddlers and everyone LOVED it. The nature center in and of itself is a fanastic local resource - stop by and check it out for yourself!

Great outdoor spot along the Chattahoochee River with native plants and flowers, rescued birds raptors, trails, canoeing, exhibits for all ages. There are also special events and summer camp for kids. I especially recommend it to people who are NOT necessarily outdoor enthusiasts so they can discover how wonderful it is!

The staff is great and the scenery is beautiful. A must see for nature lovers who like to walk whether fast or slow pace. The butterfly tents are great for kids to get up close with nature.

A great place for the price. Plenty to do. My elementary age kids frequently ask when we will go back and we've already been a couple of times. My favorite is the walk on the boardwalk and their favorite is the indoor aquarium and things to do and look at. Also appropriate for very young children. Very highly recommend!

If you love to live outdoor, owned a dog and like to run, this is the perfect spot where to go if live, or happen to be in the Roswell Area. I did live along the Chattahoochee River for many years and enjoyed this area very much. Come and see for yourself! Many attractions for adults and children: natures trails,... More

I have been visiting the nature center for twenty years. It just keeps getting better and better facilities and exhibits. Great fun for the family. Kids love it and the grounds are nice for walking about.

Our local to GA cousins met us here with their two boys, and assorted adult cousins and we all took one of the guided trail walks. It was very informative. The kids would have preferred running around, but we would have missed a lot. We explored the inside exhibits and got to sit in on a lecture about snakes found... More

This nature preserve has a lot to offer. In the Spring, there is a Butterfly Garden where you can walk in and be "swarmed" by beautiful butterflies. There are Naturalists tours and hikes and summer camps. Or, you can simply stop by and go for a hike on one of the shaded trails. It's up to you how much you... More
