This nature preserve has a lot to offer. In the Spring, there is a Butterfly Garden where you can walk in and be "swarmed" by beautiful butterflies. There are Naturalists tours and hikes and summer camps. Or, you can simply stop by and go for a hike on one of the shaded trails. It's up to you how much you... More

Went here with my daughters 4th grade class. It was fun and educational and the kids all had a good time.

My kids have gone to camp there and had a great experience. We have also held a birthday party there which was a big hit with the kids and super easy for the parents. Recently returned for just a visit and still a great spot and very educational but in a fun way.

I have visit this nature center with my son several times over the past year - most recently to see the reindeer on the 15th. I must say I was not impressed that they only had two of them in a small pin. My four year old was not too thrilled either... I found the price of admission ($10 adult,... More

Went to the Nature Center with a cousin in for the holidays. Nature trails were great. Even though most of the trees were bare it was still great walking the different trails they have. Walking the boardwalk out into the river was exceptionally amazing. Glad we went.

It is not a destination facility but if you are in the area it is worth the stop. Quite and peaceful stroll. They do take indigenous animals that are injured, to try to rehab. Good people.

If you are looking to get out of the crowds and have children this is a nice place to go. A walking trail by the river is a good place for the kids to see birds. The animals at the Center are always something kids like as well.

Excellent staff always willing to share knowledge. Great way to learn about the river that flows through Atlanta.

A great, non-commercial way to help children appreciate the complexities and wonders of nature. Not a zoo, but learning about the animals and their environment. Lots of special, seasonal programs, so check before you go.

This is the best place to experience the true beauty of this area of the country. The river, lake, trails, exhibits, and the animals that have been rescued and are recovering thanks to the CNC. Wonderful place for all ages. Be sure and visit there during the different seasons of the year to get the full picture of nature in... More
