The museum is only a short drive from Savannah and worth the trip. Powerful story of the Eight Air Force Bomber activity during WW2. It is mostly a self guided tour, and there are a series of three films to watch back to back. It will bring tears to your eyes. Lots of static displays of Aircraft and the Memorial... More

Stopped in by accident because it was near the motel. What a shock! It is much more impressive from the inside than the exterior entrance suggests. Complete history of the 8th AF with its most impressive leader Jimmy Doolittle. Plan to spend half a day. Easy self-guided tour. Most impressive was the memorial garden...and I was there in the winter.... More

Impressive museum and great history. Loved the garden and Chapel. Check it out sometime. B17 restored really well. Great tribute to the Mighty Eight.

We could have spent ALL day here, there was so much to see. They even have a nice outside area as well.

This musuem has a large walk in lobby that, when I took my son, had a few planes on a table as a center piece. They were pf various kinds and had a description on each. After you pay $10 you start your walk through a hallway that has pictures plastered along the wall. Now I took my then two... More

Wonderful museum and worth every minute you will want to spend looking around. We were there on the 72 anniversary and it was a pleasure.

Their exhibits were extensive and so well done. I loved the films with the 4-D effect of wind. When obtaining my ticket, I was told that I could leave and return throughout the day, and I wondered why I would want to do that. I quickly understood. Around every corner is another collection of fascinating history. I could have easily... More

Great layout for a museum, staff was helpful and informative. The gentleman that greeted us when we came in was full of information. The restaurant inside the museum has really good food.

This musem is one of the very nicest, I have ever been to! Its done with respect and honor to men and women who served during this time. I especially like the effort by the musem to respect and honor the service of women during this time period because so many americans think only the men served in WWII. outside... More

When I left my wife in our hotel room I told her I'd check out this museum and I'd be back in two hours. It turned out to be four hours, and then I left only because I felt guilty. I easily could have stayed another hour or two. There is just so much there. Be advised that this is... More
