Owner description: Golfers seeking a real test of their abilities look forward to playing 7,057 yard, par 72 Mountain View, designed by world-famous golf architect Dick Wilson. Tight, tree-lined fairways are characteristic of this true championship course. Mountain View was home to the PGA Tour's Buick Challenge for more than a dozen years. One of Mountain View's most intriguing holes is the par 5, number 6 where the threat of water looms over both tee and approach shots. This hole was ranked as the fourth most difficult par 5 on the Tour by USA Today.

The Fantasy in lights was excellent and well worth the trip. Be sure to dress warm and have a hoody or toboggan for your ears. The ride takes an hour and time passes quickly. We finished the ride with warm hot chocolate and apple cider.

We just hosted a casual tournament at this course during a conference at The Lodge and Spa. The staff was great to work with and set us up with everything we needed.

2 GREAT courses! The Lake and Mountain Course. My hubby and son LOVED the Lake Course! Make reservations in advance. If you get a chance stay at the Callaway for other family fun!

Thank you for your post. We're glad to hear that your family enjoyed playing at Callaway Gardens. And, as you pointed out so well, the great thing about Callaway Gardens is that non-golfers have something to enjoy as well. We hope you are able to visit again soon. More

I have played the Mountain twice. It is a very nice course. Beautiful scenery. The pro shop staff is superb! I played at twilight rates both times. Personally I think the regular rates are too expensive compared Grand National, Maple Ridge, and Bull Creek which are tracks available within 30 minutes.

We golfed on a golf package that we had prepaid otherwise we would've refused to play. The course was in terrible shape because of the hard winter. No grass on the fairways so we played off of dirt. The other people in our foursome said they'd never come back which is too bad for such a beautiful area. But we... More

It was a majestic day at Callaway Gardens to play golf. Played both Mountain View and Lake View. Very enjoyable with Mountain View being in a little better shape and both fun. The Pro Shop handled things nicely and the Grille was good as well for a quick sandwich (bite to eat). The only negative was grounds crew still working... More

I had an 8a.m. tee time and began playing the Lake View Course. A lawn crew was working on several holes and would not get off the course or even pull to the side to allow me to play through. I ended up having to skip several holes! The golf manager saw that I was ahead of schedule and commented... More

My husband and I stayed one night to play the Lake Course. We've played the other courses on prior visits. The course(s) are well maintained. this was our first visit to the hotel. I played the lake view course it's not a long course but the greens require pin point accuracy with the short irons. Plenty of room for error with the driver. I hit the driver only on the par 5's and reached all of them in two and least in length not accuracy.
