Tight, tree-lined fairways are characteristic of this true championship course. Mountain View was home to the PGA Tour's Buick Challenge for more than a dozen years. One of Mountain View's most intriguing holes is the par 5, number 6 where the threat of water looms over both tee and approach shots. This hole was ranked as the fourth most difficult par 5 on the Tour by USA Today. « less

I have played the Mountain twice. It is a very nice course. Beautiful scenery. The pro shop staff is superb! I played at twilight rates both times. Personally I think the regular rates are too expensive compared Grand National, Maple Ridge, and Bull Creek which are tracks available within 30 minutes.

Sounds like you had fun. Yes, having been the host of 12 PGA tournaments - the Mountain View course if more challenging. We are so glad to hear it. Thank you for your post and we hope you find the opportunity to play again soon. More

We golfed on a golf package that we had prepaid otherwise we would've refused to play. The course was in terrible shape because of the hard winter. No grass on the fairways so we played off of dirt. The other people in our foursome said they'd never come back which is too bad for such a beautiful area. But we... More

We are very to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. We are currently trying to cover from an extremely harsh winter, probably the worst in several decades. There are plans to build a new clubhouse. As a nonprofit organization in this tough economy, timing is very important. We strive to make visits as enjoyable as possible. Our new... More

It was a majestic day at Callaway Gardens to play golf. Played both Mountain View and Lake View. Very enjoyable with Mountain View being in a little better shape and both fun. The Pro Shop handled things nicely and the Grille was good as well for a quick sandwich (bite to eat). The only negative was grounds crew still working... More

I had an 8a.m. tee time and began playing the Lake View Course. A lawn crew was working on several holes and would not get off the course or even pull to the side to allow me to play through. I ended up having to skip several holes! The golf manager saw that I was ahead of schedule and commented... More

My husband and I stayed one night to play the Lake Course. We've played the other courses on prior visits. The course(s) are well maintained. this was our first visit to the hotel. The room was clean, but has a smell like my grandmothers house, Old and tired. As typical golfers, we spent most of our time playing golf with... More

I played the lake view course it's not a long course but the greens require pin point accuracy with the short irons. Plenty of room for error with the driver. I hit the driver only on the par 5's and reached all of them in two and least in length not accuracy.

Played both courses - the Mountain View and the Lakeview course - and although the Lakeview is supposed to be the easier one - both are challenging and the scenery - especially with the Lakeview one - stunning! An additional interesting thing - the whole markers - great to have a little story on every single one

We are average golfers so played the Lake View course and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The course was in good condition and definitely challenging enough (greens are well protected). We thought the green fees were reasonable, but renting clubs turned out to be quite expensive. It was a very fun experience, and we went back a second day when... More
