Tight, tree-lined fairways are characteristic of this true championship course. Mountain View was home to the PGA Tour's Buick Challenge for more than a dozen years. One of Mountain View's most intriguing holes is the par 5, number 15 where the threat of water looms over both tee and approach shots. This hole was ranked as the fourth most difficult par 5 on the Tour by USA Today. « less

It was a majestic day at Callaway Gardens to play golf. Played both Mountain View and Lake View. Very enjoyable with Mountain View being in a little better shape and both fun. The Pro Shop handled things nicely and the Grille was good as well for a quick sandwich (bite to eat). The only negative was grounds crew still working... More

I had an 8a.m. tee time and began playing the Lake View Course. A lawn crew was working on several holes and would not get off the course or even pull to the side to allow me to play through. I ended up having to skip several holes! The golf manager saw that I was ahead of schedule and commented... More

My husband and I stayed one night to play the Lake Course. We've played the other courses on prior visits. The course(s) are well maintained. this was our first visit to the hotel. The room was clean, but has a smell like my grandmothers house, Old and tired. As typical golfers, we spent most of our time playing golf with... More

We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed playing the Lake View Golf Course. It is one of our best courses. Apologies on the room not being up to par. They were recently renovated and have new furnishing. We appreciate your business and your comments. Thank you for spending time with us and for golfing with us. More

I played the lake view course it's not a long course but the greens require pin point accuracy with the short irons. Plenty of room for error with the driver. I hit the driver only on the par 5's and reached all of them in two and least in length not accuracy.

Played both courses - the Mountain View and the Lakeview course - and although the Lakeview is supposed to be the easier one - both are challenging and the scenery - especially with the Lakeview one - stunning! An additional interesting thing - the whole markers - great to have a little story on every single one

We are average golfers so played the Lake View course and really enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The course was in good condition and definitely challenging enough (greens are well protected). We thought the green fees were reasonable, but renting clubs turned out to be quite expensive. It was a very fun experience, and we went back a second day when... More

OK - so the golf is good, but it's nothing compared to the gardens. I grew up in Georgia and Callaway was one of our favorite places to visit. Anytime I go back, I try to get there. Wonderful, beautiful place.

One of the best hidden secrets in the area and an absolute treasure for any golfer to find. The courses offer many challenges and used to host a PGA event in the 90's. Coupled with the Callaway Gardens, these courses are a must play venue for any golfer.
