I spent two nights and three days here with my mother and two of her friends. We got a special package that included two nights in the "Fantasy in Lights" and two meals. The lights were spectacular. The food was excellent. We stayed in the Mountain Lodge. It was old and needes a little up-dating, BUT the hot water was... more

Warning: DO NOT VISIT IN THE SUMMER and DO NOT STAY OVERNIGHT Follow these two rules and you will have a fun time. We prefer spring and winter - spring is cool and the gardens are wonderful - winter offers one of the greatest Christmas attractions anywhere. These folks did a terrific job of leveraging benefits of a beautiful natural... more

After reading many of the reviews on the trip advisor, I did not have high expectations for Callaway Gardens but thought it would be a great place to go to just get away from Atlanta for the weekend. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong. My girlfriends and I received no rest or relaxation from the moment that we stepped foot on... more

We stayed at The Lodge, The service was excellent. Our room was on the first floor and was large, clean and quiet.Staff could not do enough for you.Front desk was helpful and the price of our room was reasonable and included admission to The Gardens. That said we should have listened to others as far as the food goes. It was... more

First of all, admission to the Gardens was free because we stayed at an associated inn/hotel. The Gardens is simply that ... a huge garden, that happens to have a golf course, a simulated beach, a butterfly center, a horticultural center, a visitors center, a vegetable patch, and much more. There are also many trails to walk, and a bike... more

Growing up in Georgia, I was always familiar with the Callaway Gardens attraction but never had a chance to visit it until a couple of weeks ago. Based on its reputation and website, I figured they would offer moderate accomodations in a beautiful setting. First off, the Mountain Inn looked more like a campground than an inn. Rowdy crowd, grossly... more

We just returned from a weekend stay at the Mountain inn villas. We booked a room but were told upon arrival we had been upgraded to a villa. I will have to say that I agree with most fo the reviews on this site that the accomodations are in dire need of an interior upgrade. Overall the villas and the... more

LaGrange, Ga, the location of my triathlon and about 15 miles from Callaway Gardens (CA), did not offer any type of weekend resort locations. So my wife and I decided to try a CA Villa; despite what we had read on TripAdvisor. The short story is we should have taken heed of everything we learned on TripAdvisor. First the positives... more

I love the Gardens, but not the room options. A native Georgian that loves this area was very disappointed on my most recent visit. My Husband and I took our 22 month old Granddaughter for an over night visit. The gardens are lovely and wonderful. Our hotel was not. Dirty and wet cigarette burned carpets. A sheet made to look... more
