My husband and I went to the last Hot Air Balloon Festival in 2015. This experience was unforgettable. They had activities all day long. The morph butterflies were my favorite part of the visit, of course after the ride in the balloon. They also had an exhibition of classic cars and many activities with animals. You can go hiking and... More

Absolutely horrible guest service! We drove an hour to Callaway Gardens after calling to confirm that admission was complimentary with a dependent military ID. At the admissions gate however, we were quite rudely told that only "soldier or spouse" ID carriers are acceptable and that we would have to pay full price admission. $20 per person during February is incredibly... Thank you for your post. We appreciate your message regarding your recent contact with Callaway Gardens. As of Aug. 15, 2013, our Military offer was updated, which at the time also was updated at our website name then forward slash military. The current military policy provides free admission to the member of the military and their spouse. The military member... More

We loved the butterfly center! The place is huge...and has lots to do! There isn't much bloom now, maybe will be back in spring!

We have family in the area and no matter how many times we visit, we always ask to visit the butterfly atrium. In February, my ability to rate Calloway is limited, but I have been there during the holidays for the Festival of Lights, and in the spring when the azaleas put on their glorious display. Calloway showcases nature's splendor,... More

The symposium was excellent, but after thirty years, Calloway Gardens is dropping the program. If you attend, you generally stay in the Mountain Inn, which is very dated. The Lodge is very nice. Food is good, service is adequate. The gardens are wonderful, but they are closing the Horticulture center and the farm. Very sad. Reminds me of a faded beauty.

Beautiful and so serene. Always visit each time we stay at The Lodge and Spa Marriott. Very nice staff and birds and flowers are wonderful.

Beautiful gardens! We go every year several times and enjoy bike riding through the gardens with our two girls. But for now on, we will stay at the Callaway Gardens Lodge.... it is more updated, nice rooms, good management, and very friendly.

Just 1.5 hours south of Atlanta, Callaway Garden is a relaxing escape. We have gone down three times in the past three years. Great walking and biking trails (you can rent bikes), zip line, and of course, the man-made beach. Some of the buildings and attractions are a bit dated, but overall, a great, affordable destination.

My friend and I went up for a weekend. We walked some trails and went to the butterfly greenhouse. It was crowded in there but very nice. The trails we walked were short, but pretty, even for January. There was a small creek we sat beside and hung out. The lights were going for the holidays, and it was like... More

My wife and I rented a cabin at Callaway Gardens for a weekend in January. We had a great time. There is plenty to do even in the winter.
