This is a beautiful place to visit if you are interested in gardens. It does take full day to see everything in the gardens, but you can spend a shorter amount of time in a particular area of the garden. For example, the butterfly house is worth a visit to see the non-native butterflies and learn about them. They also... More

We arrived on a Tuesday in awe of the beauty and wondering why it was so empty. We could not imagine why in the world it would not be jammed with people taking advantage of such a lovely spot. We left on Friday-early in the day though we had planned to stay all day-totally understanding why. As first time visitors... More

We are very sorry to hear that you had a less than enjoyable experience. We aren't sure from your post if you stayed at a Callaway Gardens property (Mountain Creek Inn, Southern Pine Cottage, Mountain Creek Villa or Vacation Home), or the Lodge and Spa (which is not affiliated with Callaway Gardens). Only room keys to Callaway Gardens' properties will... More

We stopped on our way to another destination. 2 hours is not enough time to see these beautiful gardens.

I have visited several times over the years and its always a joy to experience. I have to say though that Christmas has to be my favorite time to go. Love the lights, the music and of course the hot chocolate! Don't drive through yourself, book seats on the trolley. It adds that special touch to the experience. Always great... More

My husband and I traveled from Huntsville, AL for a two day anniversary getaway. We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities available to us. Pools were clean, beach was great. The bike trails are perfect. The walking trails were very good as well. It's great to be able to have the "resort" feel tucked away in such a scenic beauty!... More

Callaway Gardens is at its best just before Christmas with their fantastic light show at night. However, the Gardens is a place to enjoy all year long. The grounds are very pretty and several areas are worth seeing. Of course, the beach and its attractions is great for families! The Gardens always seem very clean!

We had a large group for a long weekend in Pine Mountain. Callaway Gardens was amazing. Beautiful and educational. It was impossible to keep our huge group all together, but we loved wandering around the gardens, and the birds-of-prey show is a must-see, as well as the butterfly exhibit. We enjoyed the vegetable garden though much of it was bare.... More

We rented bikes (highly suggested) and cruised the gardens. Much is just forest, though curated. Saw some wildlife, including deer. The butterfly conservatory is utterly fantastic. Be warned it's very humid tho. Also saw an informative presentation with live raptors. Pretty neat all around.
