Great restaurants, great atmosphere, nice shops and fun events! I highly recommend visiting the Marietta Square. There is something there for everyone!
This center of Marietta attraction has almost anything anyone would want to see and/or do in a rather small space. It is an historic site with things for children to play on, a beautiful fountain to sit by and enjoy, shops all around to purchase many kinds of foods, an historic theater with live performances and other specialties, an occasional... When you get to Marietta Square, you have taken a step back in time when small towns evolved around a central location, or square. So much do do and see. Love going to the Farmer's market on Saturday mornings. The square has great restaurants and fun shops.
Growing up in Marietta meant going to the Marietta Square. The stores and restaurants are average. Atmosphere is very family friendly. Strand Theater has been renovated and now offers a variety of shows every month. A lot of movie companies are filming in Georgia now and the Square is one of their favorite locations.
Marietta is a quintessential town square (right off the pages of Southern Living magazine) with beautiful homes on tree lined streets, great restaurants, and plenty of things to do. Take in a free summer concert in the beautiful central Glover Park or a play at one of the theaters, boutique shopping, excellent dining options, music, arts & crafts, museums and... More
We do a pub crawl every year on the Marietta square. Plenty of places to sit outside during the day and then have a nice meal in the evening. Easy to walk around.
This is a charming spot and very active on weekends, with farmers' and artisan markets in the morning. Really good cafes around the square with many different choices of ethnic food, locally grown and artisanal made items. I also love that it has an historic flare. You can visit the Gone With the Wind Museum. Multiple antique stores. Country stores.... More
It's happening at the Square. From the Strand Theater to the great and varied restaurants to the quaint shops there is something to do. The Strand Theater has interesting entertainment and is and adventure in itself. Also the Square has a couple of art and craft shows each year. You will enjoy!
