Being local, we wind up here a few times a year. On weekends during the summer, there is a Farmer's Market in the mornings which is always fun - and there are other events (craft shows, etc) throughout the year. During the weekend, the city's parking garage is open to the public (at least during the day), and you can... More

I love going to Marietta Square. Not only does it feel like a step back in time with the park/fountain in the center of the town area, but it's a beautiful place in old Marietta. There are restaurants and shops surrounding the square, with the library and court buildings further down on the side streets. All the restaurants & eateries... More

Nothing to warrant a special trip there, however, if you're in the area (Cobb county or North-West Atlanta area) it may make a decent diversion from the suburban blight that is most of Cobb county.

This Square is the social hub of Marietta. Along with the Court House, 40-50 eateries, and frequent gatherings for fun and music, it's a delightful place to just experience. There are numerous unique shops for antiques, gifts, spices, and ice cream. From May through September there are free, family friendly, monthly music offerings in the bandstand. Everyone just brings a... More

Just visited this past weekend with my daughter to do some pre-holiday shopping. We did some antiquing, stopped into sugar cakes for a crossiant, and bought a first edition book at one of the shoppes. The square has something to offer for everyone, including a theater, multiple restaurants, and places to shop

It's a great way to spend a few hours and purchase some wholesome produce and farm to table items for your household.

The square is where you'll find charming shops with everything from incredible pizza to eclectic clothing and furniture. I can spend hours going from one shop to the other and never see everything. Make sure you take in a show, music in the square and the museum as well as sample the fine restaurants in the area.

. . . set aside some time to walk around the Square and just chill . . . there are antique shops, theaters, and beaucoup restaurants to satisfy anyone tastes. The Square itself is crisscrossed with sidewalks , benches, and a few historical markers; nearby are several small museums . . . all in all, it's relaxing, and a great... More
