We go to The Yellow River Game Ranch every time we come through that area, it's always a treat to see and feed the animals. I was however disappointed last time, it was the end of Oct and there was absolutely no deer. Usually they are everywhere. My favorite is the chipmunks and the bears.

My girls (ages 3-2 yrs.) loved our outing here and although my own opinions were that the grounds felt a bit "run down" and frankly, sad, the point of the trip was to take the girls to see & feed the animals, and they did just that. Love the fact that there is a trail that you have to walk... More

Fun to bring kids to, you can bring your own animal food to feed the animals or buy it there. The paved paths are is disrepair and some paths are not paved at all so strollers and wheelchairs might have a little trouble. Many of the pens have seen better days, but it was a fun way to spend a... More

We have visited yellow River many times. This time I was a bit disappointed however my kids still absolutely love it . The great part is you can feed animals out of your hand . The bad part is many of the animals are not there anymore, the place is in disrepair, the smells are disgusting , it is very... More

Great place for kids. Relatively inexpensive, but lots of peanuts. Bears were a laugh riot. Go in the morning, animals are a little more lively!

This place used to be chock full of animals to interact with. Now it's fallen into a sad state with empty pens and a number of things that need repair. Not worth the stop unless it's on your route.

Do not support business for profit when they costs the animals their sanity and health. The deer are crowded into small caged areas with no grass and they have open wounds. General Beau exists in a small fenced cemented floored. It should have been closed down years ago. Shame on Yellow River Game Ranch for wanting profits over kindness.

We've taken the grandkids here twice and they've sure enjoyed the up close contact with the animals, especially feeding them carrots, peanuts, grains, etc. While not "spiffy" and odor free, the Game Ranch offers an educational experience for city kids.

Love this place. Not a big fan of zoos, but these are all animals that were injured or neglected and needed care. It is clean and the animals look well cared for. A lot of the animal are free roaming or have big enough enclosures. Wild cats and Bears are the only ones that need more room. Fun for all... More

Nothing is up kept and its all dilapidated. Every cage is to small and rotted and rusty, which all animals are kept in and many are empty. All the animals look sick and underfed which is a wonder because costumers actually feed them, so the actual caretakers must not be. The bears are kept in a dirty cement pit and... More
