This was our first trip to Tugaloo and probably our last. It probably did not help that we were there during a heat wave and temps were a humid 100 degrees all week. We had a premium site (waterfront) and the site was great. Right by the water, so we just kept our boat tied up at our site. This... More

Having recently moved to Georgia, this was our first experience with one of its state parks. Reservations were easily made online, and we found several sites at Tugaloo that were able to accommodate our 35ft C-class RV. We opted for a premium site and were very pleased with a large, level lot overlooking Hartwell Lake with lots of trees for... More

The lake is huge - lots of branches to explore. The Park in very large and well kept. We were in cabin 17, 2 BR/2BA. The views of the lake are wonderful with many trees. You can hear the water lapping against the shore. The dock was shared by cabin 16, but there was plenty of room to tie up... More

There are a lot of camping sites packed into a small area. Most are not level and hard to get in and out of. The roads have lots of tree roots and damage. We did not realize that the premium sites are waterfront. If you want a waterfront site aka blue site, you must register for one. They are 5... More

Stayed here Fathers Day weekend. Arrived about 4 on Friday and there were approximately 40 sites available. Drove through the entire campground and came back to one of the first ones we saw near the camp host and dump station. Pulling a 33'TT with a short bed crew cab the roads are EXTREMELY TIGHT. At best the roads are 9'... More

My brother, his two sons and myself spent 5/29-6/1/15 here. This is a wonderful park and is full of activities. We only took advantage of the miniature golf and playground. We had walk in camp site #6. There is a bit of a hill to climb when loading out. The sites are adequately spaced. The comfort station was clean every... More

We decided to book a trip to Tugaloo State Park for two reasons: the yurts are on the water and this state park offers a large beach for swimming. This was our second stay to a GA state park in a yurt. The other park where we have stayed is Fort Yargo. Things I liked about the park -- As... More

We loved our camp site on lake Hartwell. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. Clean park, clean bathrooms! Beautiful view of the lake.

This is a state park, is well maintained, has a good number of good campsites, and offers a great experience for campers. The park is on Lake Hartwell, just a few minutes out of Lavonia or Toccoa. This park is one of the top parks in the Georgia State Park system.
