We camped with our travel trailer here over July 4th weekend. We did reserve a "premium" campsite, which are right on Lake Hartwell. We had plenty of space and had such a relaxing time. The previous reviews talk about the terrible roads--these roads are not "terrible". They are older roads, but I have definitely experienced worse. We had no issues... More

We enjoyed the lake and getting away from it all while visiting here. The area around this park is also nice with great bbq right down the road.

This state park is very clean and well maintained. The bath area for tent and yurt campers was immaculate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There are a total of six yurts, each very private. Trees surround each of the yurts, and are pretty far from each other. Six people can fit in one -- two futons and a... More

This is a GA state park on Lake Hartwell. I have camped, hiked and fished from this park. Great lake front campsites with clean bathrooms, Modern boat launch ramp with plenty of room and parking. Also quite a few miles of hiking trails that take you through the park. We often hike on weekends to get some exercise. Highly recommended... More

This review pertains to the cabins available at Tugaloo State Park, only. There are, I believe, about 20 cabins available. An on-line reservation system is accessed via the GA State Parks website that lets you know exactly what is available, when - very convenient and hassle free. Approximately 30 fraternity brothers/wives/friends re-uned here for the weekend, 40 years after college... More

This Georgia state park has small sites packed in like sardines on a peninsula on Lake Hartwell. The sites have little or no privacy between them. The bath facilities appear to have been updated within the last few years, they were fine. The employees and volunteers were nice folks. Granted, everyone has different expectations and wants in a state park... More

A group of us stayed here and it was perfect for relaxing with friends and not having to worry about being stacked in with other people. While the pit toilets weren't a favorite of anyone's, the fact that there were at least 6 tent pads plus 3 or 4 shelters all nearby and just for our group was great. The... More

Campsites are closely packed in, but we paid a little more for a "premium site" which meant that we were waterfront and could swim right at our campsite! The official beach is set apart from the campground, but we could bike or drive over to it; however, it was *very* crowded on the weekend. The campground restrooms were clean.

This review is concerned with Loop 2 because that's where I camped; I don't know about the other loops. The road through Loop 2 is in terrible condition and desperately needs widening and repaving. I have a very small camper and still had trouble maneuvering it what with 3" to 5" drop-offs between the cracked road surface and the campsite.... More

This was an impromptu camping trip so my kids could visit their cousins. Cost was 30$ for 2 nights 3 days. We didn't do the tourist stuff like the other reviewers, we took a small boat and some water floats, fishing gear and picnic. We dropped the boat in and floated, fished, swam and had a blast all day till... More
