We went to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and had a great time. The staff was very knowledgeable and were able to explain the difficulties the Sea Turtles encounter. It was very interesting and has brought a new awareness of how we impact the ecology. I think they are doing a great job!! more

We visited the Turtle Center in July 09. It was an awesome experience. This place is doing such wonderful things for the turtles. My 21 month old son was just as excited as my 7 year old daughter...It is truly a place for all ages...especially if you love turtles !! more

We enjoyed viewing the actual turtles at the center. There were no presentations the day we were there, so we really missed out. It's a very short day trip. My daughter really wanted to "adopt" a turtle, but at 50 dollars a head, that was a bit much for us. The workers were extremly helpful and kind. more

The new Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island is a must see... it is different from anything you think you've seen. It is not an aquarium, but an actual working hospital for sea turtles. Georgia Sea Turtle Center staff does an amazing job in rehabilitating sick, injured, and immature sea turtles. The center has a wonderful display area that teaches about the life cycle of the turtles and how we can help them to rebound. Housed in the old power station, the center also has a rehab area that has tanks for the turtles.... more
