The grounds are well maintained. I can only imagine what it was like in the 1920's. The Ladies and Gentlemen who work in the historic district treat their guests with Southern hospitality. My husband and I love it here and feel blessed to have been married at Crane Cottage a few years ago.

Made this one of our stops on the way home this past January. My husband and I have been here numerous times but never in the winter months. Just as beautiful in January.

Enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds. We didn't arrive in time to take the trolley tour from the museum, but heard from others that it was worthwhile, Enjoyed sitting at the The Rah Bar to watch the sun set.

Full of beauty. Full of history. Quaint, but note remote. Incredible trees, incredible views, very southern hospitality, some history. "The Club" was built in the 1800s, semi-accessible to people not paying exorbitant price to stay there. The trees are unbelievable. The view is towards the continent, but lots of water. The roads are made of recycled shells. The government workers... More

Step back in time to this beautifully kept area. The trees are absolutely magnificent and stately! Don't forget to stop by also at the Christmas season for a beautiful display!

Spent the majority of the day at Jekyll Island touring the Historic District while looking for the glass balls that are hidden in January and February. We weren't successful at finding a ball but were able to enjoy the beauty of the historic district and the excellent restaurant at the Crane Cottage.

Beautiful, quaint and very historic. We came to Jekyll Island for a wedding and are extremely thankful or we may have never gone out of our way to visit the area. It is well worth the trip and we cannot wait to come back during the summer months to explore more and enjoy more of the beauty and history Jekyll... More

Drove up from FL for the day. The sun was shining on all the Spanish Moss as it heavily hung from the branches of all the huge impressive live oaks. What a glorious walkabout we had on a beautiful day looking at the homes of the very wealthy from days gone by! Just the most pleasant of afternoons.
