We had the best experience at a hotel in a while. We need a hotel close to Ft. Stewart, this hotel is less than 2 miles from the main gate. Their service was great, rooms were clean. They had plenty of items for a breakfast (eggs, sausage, etc). I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Having worked on post for over 25 years I can say it has change immensely in the last 10 years. It is now very modern looking whereas before, old WW2 buildings were still playing a prominent role. The grounds are well kept and there is a museum dedicated to the base and the 3rd ID. The Walk around the flowering... More

fort Stewart is home of the 3rd ID. Don't miss the Warriors walk in memory of the fallen soldiers. It's very solemn and moving. It also has a museum to view items from the wars. Tanks, and helicopters greet you as you enter the main gate that were also used in the wars. Enjoy the Ft Stewart journey! Give our... More

They claim to be friendly with easy access to areas either facilities to use for everyone or just passing through, but the opposite is true.

I visited with my daughter's family. The only thing I didn't like was having to apply for a pass to get on base every 3 days. It takes any where from 20 minutes to an hour to obtain a pass. I hope the powers that be reconsider week passes for the Holidays.

3rd ID Rock of the Marne, what more can I say? Awesome base full of hard charging War Fighter's. God Bless America.

I'm in town visiting. The base is very tidy and well organized. The people were very friendly. I enjoyed visiting the fallen soldier memorial and paying my respects.

dislike-strictness at the gates, like cleanlyness, facilities and lakes/forests where soldiers and their family can enjoy themselves

If you're in the Army and stationed here, I'm so sorry for you. You can look forward to mosquitoes and other wonderful insects, swamps, field, NTC, driving 45 minutes to get to civilization (Savannah), humid and sticky hot summer days with an average high of over 90 degrees Jun-Aug, and more field. There is nothing good about this place. If... More
