We were visiting a family member stationed here. We enjoyed the use of the Community Center for a childrens birthday party. Roller skating, laser tag, bounce house and face painting. We brought our own pizza, soft drinks and cupcakes. The adults as well as the children enjoyed this two hour event. We visited and shopped at the Exchange. Be sure... More

Used the Rv camp site as a base camp for riding our Harleys around the area. Small amount of rv spots - 19 total - but very big spaces. Electricity and water hookups - no TV - did have WiFi - bath house was clean and maintained. Very nice facilities. Big lake for fishing. Children playground area on opposite side... More

This area is finally taking shape and getting a better selection of placing in Hinesville and even on post. Still a pain with traffic but not as bad as it use to be. The post has some interesting places to visit

Unless you business there or a military ID you cannot enter the post. As far as Army bases go it's not bad. Decent pools, PX, and commissary. If you go do check into the base museum.

We had the best experience at a hotel in a while. We need a hotel close to Ft. Stewart, this hotel is less than 2 miles from the main gate. Their service was great, rooms were clean. They had plenty of items for a breakfast (eggs, sausage, etc). I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Having worked on post for over 25 years I can say it has change immensely in the last 10 years. It is now very modern looking whereas before, old WW2 buildings were still playing a prominent role. The grounds are well kept and there is a museum dedicated to the base and the 3rd ID. The Walk around the flowering... More

fort Stewart is home of the 3rd ID. Don't miss the Warriors walk in memory of the fallen soldiers. It's very solemn and moving. It also has a museum to view items from the wars. Tanks, and helicopters greet you as you enter the main gate that were also used in the wars. Enjoy the Ft Stewart journey! Give our... More

They claim to be friendly with easy access to areas either facilities to use for everyone or just passing through, but the opposite is true.

I visited with my daughter's family. The only thing I didn't like was having to apply for a pass to get on base every 3 days. It takes any where from 20 minutes to an hour to obtain a pass. I hope the powers that be reconsider week passes for the Holidays.

3rd ID Rock of the Marne, what more can I say? Awesome base full of hard charging War Fighter's. God Bless America.
