Very nice display of trains and villages. Though I would have liked to see more trains running. Seemed like most were parked. Interesting place for kids. Might be more fun if the owner would hide things and make a list of items to find - Kids would take more time looking at all the different displays. You can get discounts... More

This guy is great, and so passionate! What train enthusiast doesn't dream of a room full of his trains? This guy's got a whole warehouse and you have to climb stairs to get on the top level of it. Lots of lovingly created Bavarian scenes -- even hot air balloons! The gift shop is full of wooden toys, which I... More

We went to Charlemagne's Kingdom, an Alpine Model Railroad Museum and saw HO Scale German Model Railroads traveling through various terrain and architecture of Germany. It took us about 1.5 hours to go through the museum and we still don't know if we saw everything. The detail that was put into the display was truly awesome. There were several little... More

Not many true Germans own businesses in Helen.....this is the exception. Just check the hours and days they are open as they are somewhat limited. Fabulous layout and model train display. The toy shop is great. My niece and nephew did not want to leave!!!! This experience is museum quality and worth the few dollars we paid to see it!!!... More

The owners have spent 20 years building an amazing layout that is easy to see and understand. The landscaping and buildouts are great!

Right in town so easy to stop in when walking around town. Amazingly detailed model railroad setup, complete with numerous miniatures to see and great models with sounds and lights! Really enjoyed looking at all the detail that was included (my personal favorite is the bungie jumper that is jumping off the bridge and the dragon at the castle-- look... More

Spend at least 45 minutes just trying to take it all in. The display is so well done. Even have hot air balloons floating over the "landscape". It is $10 per person but the Welcome Center has coupons for $2 off.

When in Helen, GA, this is an exhibit not to be missed. This has to be the largest miniature trains attraction ever. They have; The North Sea, German Autobahn, Rhine River, Bonn Railroad Station, an Industrial area, Cable Cars, and of course the huge mountain. This exhibit is two stories high! There is so much intricate detail, so be sure... More

The actual display is amazing! UFO crashes, full cities, I think I even saw Thomas the tank engine! My son loved it and got some really cool German coloring books after!

Charlemagne's Kingdom is an Alpine Model railroad layout of parts of Germany. The buildings and landscapes are replicas of some that exist there. As I have visited Germany twice I eagerly searched for familiar landmarks. Our group consisted of three generations and all ages enjoyed the fascinating exhibit. The only disappointment was that the exhibit is showing its age. It... More
