Fine Example of an Old Covered Bridge

This is a fine example of a wooden covered bridge of the nineteenth century but too bad the inside is covered with graffiti.

This is the smallest covered bridge in Georgia and it is not in use. It was built in 1896 and is marked as a historical landmark. You are able to walk up to it and through it. It spans the Chattahoochee River.

This is a very small bridge that has much history in the area. It is not far out of town and has room to picnic on the stream banks. Another place for kids to race around and be in the open air.

I've been traveling around seeing cover d bridges for awhile now it's a cool little bridge sad that so much graffiti is covering it not far out of town. It's not large but cool with waters rushing underneath.

A lovely spot, but whoever is in charge of maintaining it needs to get rid of the graffiti. It is covered. such a shame.

It is down from the road so you may miss it the first time. Very interesting construction but graffiti all over the inside.

This was on our list of places to see and stop but it was getting dark and we didn't know if we were going to have time. We are soooooo glad we stopped! It was rainy and dreary, but still a neat bridge to see. The graffiti is pretty bad on the inside but it did make for some really... More

The covered bridge is indeed an historic place to visit, having been built in the 1895. Accessible from two parking areas (one on either side of the bridge), it spans a trickling Chickamauga creek. During the summer, the creek is a lovely place for kids to wade in. (Be careful of the poison ivy near the Hwy 255 underpass!) Further... More

It's really a beau ridge but vandals have ruined it. I would recommend going just be prepared for the graffiti. I wonder why no one has cleaned it up.

The drive to the bridge is really nice. However when we looked at the bridge we were like why were we even looking for the bridge. I wouldn't recommend this on a 'To Do' list.
