We camped at Unicoi State Park for 4 days last July. We had an awesome experience here! The camp ground was beautifully forrested, well kept, and felt safe. The bathhouses were small, but clean. A gorgeous little stream runs through the base of the campground, with a playground and nature center right near it, and a field to chase the... more

On a whim we stopped and checked into Unicoi. From the outside the 'barrel' cabins didn't look very impressive, but when entered they are absolutely wonderful! We had a great stay, loved the cabin, the ladies at the counter were excellent to deal with and the park is very well located. more

The path is paved, mostly shaded, wide and all uphill. It's not a difficult walk for the average person, but the very young and very old might struggle a bit. Toddlers without strollers will be tough. Beautiful waterfalls and clean park. No playground, not much run-around space for little folks. more

It was very beautiful there. But we could not find a playground for are daughter or anything fun to do. It was really crowded there and alot of traffic too. We got pretty lost cause we have not been here before. more

We spent a few days in Unicoi State Park at the "barrel" cabins. They were truly unique. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin. The first floor consisted of a living area, a kitchen, a dining area and the bathroom. The bedrooms were on the second floor. I was happy to find that the cabin was well maintained and meticulously... more

Located a couple miles north of Helen, Ga., USP. In short, this is what you will get: a very peaceful, rustic state park located on a lake in southern Appalachia. In terms of lodging, one can choose between camping, cabins, or the lodge. The cabins are unique and you’ll have to see to believe. The lodge, with walls of quilts,... more

One of your better state parks for camping. Getting around pretty easy, on one side of Hwy is the lodge and lower Smith creek that you need to go down and take a look. There is a trail to walk to Helen want to go back and do.The lower campground I was not impressed and really did not like its... more
