The starting point for all the trails is located at the restaurant at the Unicoi Lodge and Conference Center, no notices or pay stations for parking fee here. Hiked the Unicoi Lake Trail which is approximately 2.5 miles long. Get to hike around lake including the beach area, but not really any unique views. There are several docks spread around... More

North Georgia's little secret, Unicoi is a well staff and beautiful park. A large lodge surrounded by beautiful scenic trees and lake with wonderful hiking trails to see it all. The park has rooms at the lodge, cabins and campsites. If you love nature you'll love Unicoi.

Just 1.5 hours away from metro Atlanta, this park is a cool, green get away from the city heat. Go during the week when the crowds are light, walk the short hike to Anna Ruby falls, or take a longer wooded hike, then swim or paddle in the clear lake. Perfect place to go with young children for a quick... More

You can camp, hike, listen to local musicians, fish, and lay on the beach and more. The staff is so nice.

A german bakery in town is the place for lunch, Bettys store is the place... More

Boyfriend and I hiked the Smith-Creek Tail to Anna Ruby Falls. It was stunning! Even in July the weather was cool and crisp up on the mountain. They say that it takes 6 hours, but we did it in 4 including a 30 minute picnic/break when we reached the falls before heading back. We are both in reasonably good shape,... More

Enjoyed the park and drove through the park to see a breathtaking view of the waterfalls. Take a walking stick and hike up and enjoy the splendid view. Take pictures to share. Buy a stick at the gift shop, if you don't have one. Picnic in the area, enjoy nature. Beautiful, relaxing, serene, refreshing.

Several trails for hiking options. Lake trail and Anna Ruby Falls trails esp nice. Interesting barrel cabins; cabin groups A, B & C are too close to each other if you want isolation but good if you're with a group. Park is well-maintained. Unicoi seems more scattered, less active, therefore quieter midweek than others. Could have more directional signs with... More

Sign up for their email alerts and receive GREAT deals on stays here. If you're staying elsewhere, this park is still worth a visit. We've stayed at both the lodge and barrel cabins in the past and liked them both. Nothing fancy, and are a bit old, but we're ok with that. The dining room is pretty good, breakfast isn't... More
