We hired bikes from wooodys and went biking in the state park and had the most amazing time , with wonderful views of chattahooche on one side and greenery on the other....they have some in e picnic spots and fishing ponds as well.... More

The falls pictured on this site are not really in Unicoi, but in the nearby federal park, which requires separate fee and parking area. Unicoi itself, though has a wonderful camping area, very good interpretive programs, great hiking and lake swimming, and a lodge with conference space, a pretty good restaurant, and lodging. Great lake! Numerous trails. We enjoyed staying in one of the cabins. Very comfortable. Went to the national forest to see the Anna Ruby Falls. Great long weekend destination. More

It was really good, and my family had a really nice hike on the bottoms trail, which is 2 miles, but it was really hard to find everything, and it all seemed a little sprawled out. It was really good for a roadside stop, and we had ice cream at the lodge afterwards :) More

The State Park is full of wonderful trails for hiking, walking, or biking from flat to challenging. The Ruby Falls trail is particularly beautiful and worth the hike! More
