Beautifully maintained park! Although we went in the spring, we enjoyed every aspect of the park! We can't wait to go back in the warmer months so we can utilize the beach and all of the rentals there. Overall its gorgeous and we are highly considering booking some of the facilities for a family reunion!

This park is nestled in the mountains along a windy road - not for the flatlanders! You want to be comfortable on hairpin curves to make it here. The park has typical amenities, but is very well maintained, and the lake is one of the best around to swim in.

We have been to Unicoi State Park twice. The first time we stayed in the lodge and the second time in Smith Creek Cottages. Both were very nice. My favorite hike, which we took both times, was an easy walk through the woods to Helen for lunch and back. From the lodge It is three miles each way. Helen itself... More

This Georgia state park provides lodging, food and great hiking trails. Our favorite is the Unicoi/Helen trail - three miles one way into Helen - making a good day hike with lunch in Helen.

We had planned on going tubing, but when we got there we found out they didn't open for another two weeks. FORTUNATELY, we found the local state park and spent a few hours at the beach.

This is a big and busy state park in various seasons, but due to budgetary issues the state has reduced maintenance and perhaps that has led to some facilities not being in the best shape they could be in. A truly beautiful area though and you will enjoy your visit or stay.

One of my favorite State Parks. I fish in Smith Creek Delayed Harvest Stream. Below the dam at the park. The lake is well stocked and family friendly fishing docks make oit easy to get the young ones involved. We camp there often and the hosts are top shelf. The Lodge is very nice. The Buffet serves very nice meals. There... More

We returned to North Georgia after moving away twenty years ago . This was one of the very top places for a return trip , just as great as I remembered .
