Beautiful place

We drove through on our way to the falls and it was a very pretty drive. We also stopped at the lake and walked down to one of the docks to watch the fish and just enjoy the view.

Talked with other visitors who really bragged on the lunch buffet at the restaurant there! (Seems to be a well kept secret) ! Saw many campsites and soothing creek with cascading shoals!

We visited this place. It was a beautiful place, we spent most of our time at the lake. However, it was very crowded. Hopefully it won't be very crowded next time.

Wonderfully secluded for tent camping. Generous space on well maintained camp sites. Only knock was no wash station for dishes. Love this place!

Although the park is beautiful, the lake and stream accesses are limited. The picnic areas are crowded with tables that are close together not providing a quiet, peaceful environment. The stream access is lacking compared to those of the Smoky Mountain National Park near Gatlinburg, TN. Lake access is at a roped off swimming area which was also crowded and... More

We picnicked at Unicoi on our way to Brasstown Bald. Great picnic facility next to the lake. Bathrooms avaialble.

My sister and I camped here for two nights and found the park to be very well maintained. The campsites were well kept with water, power and access to bathrooms and showers. We visited Anna Ruby Falls, rented a canoe on the lake and spent some time at the beach. The price for camping here is a bit more expensive... More

Unicoi is a beautiful Georgia State Park about 3 miles N W of Helen Georgia in the N E part of the state. It has a lodge, restaurant, camping, lake, hiking and much more. They even host small conferences at the lodge. That is why I was there this trip. Parking is $5 per day. Being very close to Helen... More

Unicoi State Park has been in existence for quite a long time. I first visited the park in 1990 and one of the things that always stuck in my mind was the lunch buffet they have at the lodge. I am glad to say that it is still as good as always 25 years later. The lodge is still in... More

Must see when visiting Helen! It is only 8 minutes from downtown Helen and if you don't at least drive into this park you will miss a true mountain drive! The road is fun to drive. They have a waling trail and a beach!
