Great for walking and getting some fresh mountain air. Then on to Anna Ruby Falls. Wish that I had more time to rent a canoe or paddleboat with my wife.

Anna Ruby falls is a must do while in the area. The hike is a bit ambitious but worth it. We visited on Labor Day weekend and it was packed, but everyone was polite enough to give each other an view of the falls. Our friends went back a few days later and they had the falls to them selves.... More

Very nice trip to Helen and on to State park. Beautiful views, clean and not too packed when we were there.

Brilliant beach and Lake for the kids to swim in. We were the only ones there. A shame that the toilet facilities were not available as always tricky with young children.

I love the Ana Ruby falls, it was a little complicated to find then I think they should have a little more signs showing the way from the Maine road, the admissions to the falls are just $3.00 per person and it was really nice gentleman at the point of the payment, love everything about this falls the little trail... Only had time to do the easy trail to Anna Ruby Falls. Definitely worth seeing. Hope to get to check out the longer trails and lake area on another visit.

The starting point for all the trails is located at the restaurant at the Unicoi Lodge and Conference Center, no notices or pay stations for parking fee here. Hiked the Unicoi Lake Trail which is approximately 2.5 miles long. Get to hike around lake including the beach area, but not really any unique views. There are several docks spread around... More

North Georgia's little secret, Unicoi is a well staff and beautiful park. A large lodge surrounded by beautiful scenic trees and lake with wonderful hiking trails to see it all. The park has rooms at the lodge, cabins and campsites. If you love nature you'll love Unicoi.

Just 1.5 hours away from metro Atlanta, this park is a cool, green get away from the city heat. Go during the week when the crowds are light, walk the short hike to Anna Ruby falls, or take a longer wooded hike, then swim or paddle in the clear lake. Perfect place to go with young children for a quick... More
