The kids loved it. Panning for gold is hard and takes forever but Dale is fantastic and will help you. My son loved the piece of jasper he found and my daughter loved the size of the gems. No pressure to buy and they have a price point for all.

My 9 year old loved this experience. Staff was great. Explained options and answered all of our questions. We were in and out in an hour. I felt it was a little expensive.

While I would like to see more variety in the buckets available and gem selection, this would be a good activity for small children. The waterways were really full of "washed dirt" and it would have been nice to have water running through instead of just washing the box in muddy water. However, it is a good way to entertain... Part of a fun day celebrating a birthday with five 10 year old girls! The kids loved it! Only our daughter had been gem mining before so it was a new experience for the other girls and they were crazy about it! We bought a family bucket for $50 and it allowed each girl to have about a beach bucket... More

We took my grandson here today to pan for "treasures" and loved it! The gentleman working there really made it a great experience for him by showing him how to pan, and then helping him hammer open a geode. Even my 9 month old granddaughter was fascinated by the whole thing and she was just sitting on my lap watching!... More

Dukes has a new place just across from the put-put on the south side of town. We started there and met Dukes son. He was a nice young man and was very knowledgeable about the different gems. My kids fully enjoyed the experience. We've been to one of these places in the Smokies (not owned by the same person) and... More

Great fun for the kids. We got a $50 family bucket, and were pleasantly surprised by not only the number of gems, but their size and variety as well.

A very cool experience for the kids!! They have different prices of buckets to buy and pan from. They found a bunch of different gems and even some gold! It was their favorite part of our trip!

We had friends visiting from out of state and decided to take them to Dukes Creek. They and their kids loved it!!! We all found really good gems in our buckets and took them home for future placing.
