We enjoyed the view from our river front cottage; periodically tubers would float by in the shade and shallow slow moving water. We noted that many of the tubers had a stick that they used to help them over the myriad spots where the water level was insufficient for the tube to float. Mid August temperatures were in the high... More

One of the most well known tubing areas in the country. If you go during the week, after school is in, the experience is quite peaceful. Go on a weekend, during the summer, and expect a crowd.

Well the river is great! It is cool and relaxing. I do advise taking the short trip. The water is really shallow on the longer one and you get stuck on some of the rocks. It is very fun and relaxing. It's a great was to cool off.

This need to be adopted by a Boy Scout group and cleaned up. There was a ton of trash on the sides. Makes me sad to see so much disregard for such a beautiful river. The water was so low. It would be better I When swollen with more rain

I got to wade in the Hooch right off the Riverbend where we stayed. Though the water was a little chilly, it was clear and beautiful.

Wonderful, relaxing Chattahoochee River. We like to sit out on our balcony at the Helendorf Inn, and listen to the River flowing over the rocks. We enjoy watching the tubers floating down the River. Paul's Steak house is across the Street, don't have to get in the car to go out to eat. They have delicious steaks and seafood. Wishing... More

Each time we've been tubing through Helen, the water is kind of low making it difficult to navigate the rocks, but our children love doing it. The best part is that many of the outfitter offer all day options. We often go down with the kids the 1st time than find a nice restaurant or bar over looking the river... More

The water level of the river was low and there were a lot of obstacles, but it was a great experience

We went tubing on a Sunday, and it was PACKED, which to me took all the relaxation and peace of the river away. I went through one of the tubing companies and would have happily paid 3 or 4 times as much if they would limit the number of tubes per hour or something. Anyway, the crowd died down during... More
