Fun and cute little stop

It was really a fun and cute stop. It was worth checking out. We got sandwiches, the wife and kids got fresh made ice cream(they made it with liquid nitrogen) and we fed the goats.

My daughter and I spent an hour or so here on our way to Asheville...what fun! Nice gift shop, excellent fudge and neat way to make ice cream. It was a treat to watch the youngsters feeding the goats (yes, on the roof!) various ways. I don't know what all was available there but it looked like a great spot... More

It kind of stank, and was in a poor location. It was a novel place, with grass roof and goats, but all the merchandise was overpriced. Probably had something to do with their going out of business.

A great spot for lunch or ice cream with sprinkles. Children can watch the goats from ground or roof level and can dig through dirt for quartz. Souvenirs are reasonably priced. Staff enjoys family visitors.

This place is no longer open in Helen. The only one open now is located in Tiger, GA. When it was open, we loved to take the kids here, all kinds of great goodies!

My husband visited Goats on the roof in Helen about 2 years ago and loved it. I could not wait to take my son to see it on our trip there today. Sadly it has closed. I am very disappointed because I just thought it was awesome.

This was a funny little roadside stop that reminds me of old school roadside America. My husband and I agreed that the fudge in the shop was the beast fudge we have ever eaten, hands down! They have tons of flavors made fresh everyday. We had the pistachio and a new one that is a combo of vanilla/peanut butter and... More

I'm not sure what I expected but I was disappointed. Yes, the goats are on the roof, but the novelty of that wears off in about 2 minutes once you realize that you can't really see them and they don't do anything. The gift/merchandise store is not worth your time as the inventory is poor and very limited (to goats... More

We have a lake house about an hour from Goats on the Roof . Our Daughters LOVES going there and always wants to take her friends when they visit the lake. Feed the goats and watch them traverse the roof but skip the "mining for gems". It's a waste of money.

There is one in Tiger, GA that we visited, but the one in Helen, GA has closed. Nice place to stop and let the children feed the goats. They also have great fudge and very reasonably prices souviners
