I went here with really low hopes, but the Raven Cliffs Falls trail is the best hike I've ever had. It has a beautiful landscape filled with rhododendron and Mountain Laurel. You pass several gorgeous cascading waterfalls of pretty good size before you even get to the falls. The main falls is indescribably perfect, in it's little cozy cleft in... More

For those into hiking day trips this is perfect. 2-4 hours round trip. I'd compare it to Ramsay Cascades of the Smokies. More

My wife, daughter and I did this hike yesterday. All I can say is WOW! You walk up to the main falls along Dodds Creek. It's 2.5 miles each way so 5 miles total plus all of the off trail stuff you will do. Plan on 5 to 5.5 hours. The delights start as soon as you leave the trail... More

This was a beautiful hike through the North Georgia mountains. You are hiking next to a stream pretty much whole way listening to water. Plan most of the day though it took us 5 to 6 hours to get there hike to the falls andback then get back to Helen. Honestly, the falls itself was a bit disppointing. It was... More

I remember hiking this trail a few years back as the trail that inspired my passion for hiking since. Not too difficult, diverse scenery, rewarding peaceful scene to look forward to. More

Decided to drive to Helen on a weekend in Fall this year from Atlanta. Helen is a very popular tourist attraction in GA. We also wanted to visit one of the waterfall trail around the area. Traffic to Helen is bad over any summer-fall weekends, by the time we reached to Helen it was already very crowded and late afternoon... More

I highly recommend this hike. It was very enjoyable and you are rewarded at the end of the trail with a stunning view of the waterfall. It is well populated, so if you are looking for seclusion, this isn't the place to go. More
