This was one of my favorite hikes I've done. Really great hike to do with kids, especially, given the fact that it follows creeks the entire the way. (About 5 miles roundtrip) A few people have mentioned that the waterfall at the end isn't worth the hike but personally, I think I'd rather a great hike with much interest along... More

This is a beautiful fairly easy trail along the creek. A few stones and branches keep the trail interesting but it is doable by anyone who is in decent shape including my 8 year old daughter. Plenty of spits to dip your feet, or more into the cool stream. Do not miss this trail! Another bonus is how close it... More

The falls are great, and all, but it's the views of the creek, as you hike up/back, that are simply beautiful. A dozen places along the trail would make your hike worth every step. The hike isn't too challenging, but it is a bit roughed. This isn't a stroll to Anna Ruby Falls. Certainly, visit here when your in the... More

This is a nice hike on a hot summer day to the waterfalls. We saw several campers on the way up. It is not too strenuous. It took us 2 hours but we are photographers and stopped quite often for photos. We were able to sit on top of the waterfall.

Beautiful area within a easy 1-2 hour drive from the metro area. Very limited facilities, toilets with no running water. Great wilderness camp sites adjacent to the creek at various levels. The hike is tricky at times but nothing too difficult. We got there fairly late in the day, 6p.m. & didn't go all the way to the top for... More

It's an easy hike with a little elevation gain being the only strenuous part. None of the images you find of the falls does it justice. You have to make a final trudge up a steep but short incline so that you can turn 90 degrees and see this amazing phenomenon, a 30 foot wide gap in this granite cliff... More

Is not that great and at about 2.5 miles each way I'm not sure outs worth it. It's an easy hike in and back out and the falls at the end are okay but there are better hikes. The passing area can get really crowded so plan to get there early especially if it is a holiday weekend. Since its... More

There are other falls in the area that are more scenic. I thought the hike was kind of boring to get there. Then when getting to the falls scrambling is required to get to see anything. However, lots of folks were taking advantage of the plentiful camping areas along the way. Personally I don't like camping right next to a... More

This is a wonderful trail - a long slow incline on a well-trodden path through the tall-tree shady wilderness, along a beautiful creek with many small waterfalls before you get to the top. We went on a cloudy day, and loved it. Probably a sunny day would have been crowded. As it was, we saw other walkers, but also had... More

Raven Cliff Falls is a really cool and unique waterfall located just outside of Helen in the Raven Cliffs Wilderness of Chattahoochee National Forest. From the Raven Cliffs parking area off GA-348, hike along the Raven Cliffs Trail, which is well-marked and easy to follow. Along the way, there are countless cascades and three nice waterfalls along Dodd Creek, each... More
