The drive into the park is lovely. The walk to the falls is short (1/2 mile), but it is very steep in some places. It is nicely shaded and there are benches to take breaks. If you are not able to climb flights of stairs without rails, then you may have trouble navigating the nicely paved path. The falls are... More

A must see, fun activity for kids. Mine are 3 and 8 and had the best time stopping and looking at flowers and bugs on the way up and down. We took a ton of pictures and everything in the gift shop is very reasonable so they even got several souvenirs.

Nice area for walking and getting some fresh air. You must see the moonshine still at the entrance. Best time to go is a day after it rains, the falls look more spectacular with more water. It costs $3.00 a person to get in. And $8.00 an hour to use the paddle boat on the lake. A must see when... More

The hike UP to the falls is all paved and shaded. There are benches along the way if you want to take a break either going up or down. It is a short hike (about .5 miles each way) but at times VERY steep. Good waking shoes recommended. Good bathrooms and gift shop at base. National park passes accepted.

The path to these falls is paved the entire way with some rest benches. Beautiful falls. Also note it is $3/person to enter but you don't have to pay the Unicoi State Park entry fee. Definitely worth the short 1/2 mile one way walk

Relatively mild scenic hike on a paved path to the impressive falls. There are also awesome picnic sights along the pristine rippling creek.

But as I get older, the path seems to get steeper and longer. Almost everyone I meet on the path is pleasant and has a greeting. I appreciate the diversity of visitors and personally welcome those who visit from "elsewhere."

We went on a Saturday afternoon, it is a bit of a drive to get there, the crowds weren't too bad. The path to the falls is fairly steep in parts, but the path is paved. The view of the falls is great, worth the walk.

We hiked the minimal pathway to get to the beautiful falls. Would like to go back and hike the other trail for a day trip.
