Great attractions loved the smiler great family day out. Best to buy tickets in advance as had quite a long wait. Its was cheaper to take the 'come back tomorrow offer' (£9.50 each) than to book to visit for 2 days. You can buy a soft drink cup for £7 with free refills all day, we had small juice bottles... We chose to have a family day out at Alton Towers, firstly the park isn't cheap at nearly £50 each. Once we got in just after 10am the first ride we came to was the Smiler the queue waiting time was well over an hour so decided to go to some of the other rides, to fast track on the... More

Great rides, lovely setting with something for the whole family, you need two days to do everything but avoid the resort hotels which are a joke.

I enjoyed my day at Alton Towers. We went during term time, so it wasn't really that busy, and we got on all the rides we wanted without having to wait in queues for ages. One of our party was in a wheelchair, and the staff were really helpful and friendly with assisting her through queues and onto rides. The... More

I found queuing really hard, it would be better if they had benches in the queue lines. I used to be able to get a disabled pass but they only seem to do them if you're mobility disabled now. The park was open 10-5.30 which I thought was a very short space of time when queue rides can easily be... More

If you like rides excitement and is being scared this is the place to be. I've been three times now and loved it every single time, fun for all the family. You can even save money if you book early. Don't take my word for it give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Visited today with our little girl specifically for cbeebies land, kept her from nursery to spend the day before th big summer holiday rush and was glad we did. The park was fairly busy but queuing times in cbeebies were no more than 20 minutes with the exception of postman pat which my little girl didn't bother about. Attractions were... More

If your going to Alton towers buy a two day ticket (you will need if you want to do most rides. We only managed all the BIG rides in 1 day & 2 other smaller rides) & make sure you get there about 8.30am to avoid ANY Q's. Get your parking ticket (£6.00) when you arrive & hit the "smiler"... More

We visited yesterday (Tuesday) purely for our 4 year old daughter to experience CBeebies Land. Fortunately we had vouchers which eased the cost, I don't think I would have been able to justify the trip otherwise! We didn't get there until 11:30 but this turned out to be to our advantage as we parked immediately and jumped on the monorail... More
