A true community gathering place. Surrounded by three pubs and many other eating and drinking establishments, the historic courthouse and the site of many community festivals and events. Walk to a host of other local places or public transportation (MARTA) right underneath can take you to many other area attractions.

The Square of Decatur is the focal point of the village. It contains the gazebo where there are free concerts in the summer, the historic courthouse and of course the square with its unique water feature and statues - it holds many festivals throughout the year. Surrounding the square are dozens of eclectic shops, pubs and restaurants. The Decatur MARTA... More

This fabulous little city is riddled with restaurants and pubs. Great, safe (as best we can tell!) and a fun place to walk around, find something to eat and/or drink. So much so, that we decided to go here for our 1st year anniversary and just pick a place according to what we stumbled upon. We found a "pub" with... More

In the more than a decade that I've lived in Atlanta, I've enjoyed going to Decatur Square many times, often to meet friends for drinks or dinner at the many restaurants that surround the square. Like other reviewers have noted, parking can be an issue but it's great the MARTA station is right there as well. Of all the great... More

Lots of good restaurants, not enough parking. Good place for people watching. Some good pubs for adult beverages.

This area has many nice places to dine and drink. The environment is friendly to just walk around and look in shops then take a break for a coffee or a cocktail. the MARTA runs under the park which makes and interesting twist to an old fashion style city square.

Plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops. Sit on a park bench or the grass, relax and enjoy. We enjoyed our stay in Decatur!

Decatur's Square has something for everyone. There are bookstores, restuarants, boutiques, antique shops, and pubs. It's a lively place especially in the spring and summer, Most of the restuarants have patios for people watching and enjoying the Georgia sunshine. In the spring there are festivals and concerts usually free and open to the public The Marta train station is right... More

I visited while "wasting time" until next agenda item in Atlanta. It's a great place filled with coffee, deserts, pubs, and restaurants. You can find something to eat or drink here easy. Tons of specials during the weekdays. Esoteric boutiques also make for great time wasters. Enjoy
