A MARTA station, a park, and some of the best restaurant within walking distance. Cute shops and great people watching. What else could you ask for?

I really, really hate the limited parking around the square. You are only allowed 2.0 hours of parking during normal business hours.

I thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The shops were adorable and gave off a wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. My only warning is that these shops can get pretty expensive, though that's totally understandable: Decatur really loves its local artists! But even if you don't buy a thing, you walk away feeling like you've experienced one of Georgia's little gems. Parking is $2/hr... More

Decatur is, at most, 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, but it's unlike any other place in Georgia, maybe the South. And the Decatur square is where it's all happening, from tremendous restaurants (we especially like Cakes & Ale, Iberian Pig, Leon's, and Brick Store Pub), desserts (Butter and Cream but there are others), terrific shopping, and, more often than not,... Decatur Square is just one of the many charming parts of this downtown. Parking is challenging, but walking around and through this quaint square is the only way to experience it. There are several fabulous shops, restaurants, pubs, and bars surrounding the square. We got an amazingly delicious ice cream cone from Butter and Cream and walked around. A wonderful... More

Decatur Square is surrounded by many restaurants and shops. Many restaurants have outside seating, which is something I really enjoy. There is plenty to choose from and several streets to walk. Yes, it is hard to park and you have to pay before 6:00PM., but there are a few parking garages. If you like to watch people in a relaxing... More

An old columned courthouse set amid tall trees on a shop-lined main street. A lovely and thriving glimpse of classic small-town America, with an up-to-date twist.

The restaurants are better than average and I enjoy some more than others. My problem with Decatur Square is the parking. Little to no free parking if you can find a spot.
