We were camping at Stone Mountain and wanted to cook a nice dinner for New Years Eve. Several friends recommended the very short drive to the Farmer's Market. This is an experience unlike any other. It is about the size of a superwalmart and has anything and everything you could ever think of needing! We purchased some fresh produce and... More

I've shopped YDFM for years. It is insanely busy and can be a nightmare to navigate but once you know the layout and where to find your "go-to" items it can be tolerable. Shopping close to closing time on weekends helps and going on a weekday is less chaotic. Aisles jam easily. Endless assortments of vegetables and fruits, great selection... More

This is the most remarkable place - filled with an amazing cacaphony of foods and people from all over the world. If you're a serious shopper who wants to avoid crowds, try a week day morning before 11. However, if you are curious and want a real adventure then brave the week-end crowds and be jostled through a wonderful array... More

OK, it's often crowded. The parking lot is always a mess -- everybody wants to be close to the doors, blocking those of us who don't mind a little walk -- and the DKFM itself often features jammed aisles and that clammy warehouse feel. I don't care. The prices for produce are usually far better than you can find at... More

EVERYTHING is fresh and usually much more inexpensive than at the grocery store. Stock up on large containers of ground spices and buy great wines at a low price. Enjoy the sights and sounds of people from all over the world shopping and a large variety of colorful foods, some that you might not recognize but that are a welcome... More

Selection is the key and the fun! If you are anywhere near Decatur, Georgia then you need to stop at the DeKalb Farmers Market. Shopping here is SO much fun. Their selection of vegtables to chocolates make anyone who is addicted to farmers markets swoon. Where else can you select a fish and have it cleaned right before your eyes.... More

This international farmer's market offer a variety of meats, vegetables, spices and products from all over the world. Spices are very reasonable. I am a fan of the no-salt lemon pepper seasoning! The meats, seafood and bakery offer a variety of products you do not find in the supermarkets. I am a fan of the smoked Cajun turkey legs for... More
