I've only been once to The Mouse Trap, but I was amazed by the local talent. Everyone spoke in British accents, and that's hard to do when you live in Georgia. LOL I was visiting the area, but if I lived there I would definitely attend more often.

Granted I've not seen every play performed at the Holly but of the ones I have seen I have never seen a bad one. It amazes me the caliber of talent both on stage and off that donate many hours of hard work so others can enjoy reasonably priced live theater. I have just left another fantastic performance .... Smoke... More

We went to see Smoke on the Mountain at the Holly. For it to be a kid friendly show, the staff sure wasn't kid friendly. They kicked my brother in law and nephew out because they had "several" complaints about my nephew being too loud. He was laughing. He was not loud at all. He was laughing when everyone else.... My first introduction to The Holly Theater (location only) was a mandatory viewing of the original Manchurian Candidate in my American History undergrad class at North Georgia College. After that, I had attended several movie showings and live theatre. What a fantastic place! I even had a dinner-and-a-show many moons ago with food catered by the cafe next door. If... More

I was in the Holly for my first ever visit there this past weekend. My family and I saw Riders in the Sky. It is a small theater with probably no bad seats. It has a small lobby that can get crowded during intermission (but then don't they all?) They have an ambitious schedule done by volunteers. I would suggest... More

Just an incredible live theater experience. There not many places in the US left where you can have front row seats for an affordable price to experience some of the best live theater performers in the area! Such a value for the experience that will stay with you forever!

I love the Holly theatre, always a great experience. I recently saw "Mouse Trap" by Agatha Christy, and it was an amazing production that I greatly enjoyed. There are many years of history packed behind the Holly theatre, and it is always such a charming place to go. I highly recommend going to see any of the productions they put... More

We enjoy the plays and concerts here immensely and always have an great time. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house, and the casts are always excellent. That being said, logistics can be challenging. There is very limited parking and we have found ourselves at times having to park several blocks away. The restrooms are limited,... More

Took my 4 year old to see Beauty and the Beast. She LOVED it, as did I. A wonderful charming little theater. The young people in the play did a great job! We are looking forward to Aladdin in September.

We happened to be in town when a benefit concert was scheduled for a young woman with breast cancer. Dahlonega is the home of many famous and talented musicians and we had the good fortune to listen to Kurt Thomas and his friends. Theater is perfect . . . small enough to be "part of the action" but big enough... More
