Really fun to see the Zedonk and kids loved getting close to the animals. More

Great Attraction! We had a wonderful time browsing the grounds. The animals were not super active when we were there. It seemed like they would all start moving as we were walking away. We were there later in the afternoon so we didn't have as much time as I would have liked to look. The staff was great and offered... More

We went to Chestatee Wildlife Preserve because the other "zoo" in the area is not open on weekdays and we were on spring break! The signs leading to Chestatee are labeled as "zoo", but you will NOT be disappointed! The grounds are beautiful and it is very green and clean! The staff will meet you in the parking lot to... More

The grounds are spread, but they have some interesting animals, not native to the area. More

What a lovely little zoo. If you’re expecting a major metropolitan zoo, then this isn’t what you’re seeking. But if you are looking for a lovely family outing for the afternoon, then this is a place for you… First of all, their claim to fame – the zedonks… what interesting creatures they are. Really cute, especially the new baby. They... More

I was really surprised at how much this zoo changes for the better every time we visit them. They have added new buildings and animal habitats. We went today, Sunday, after lunch so we got to see the animal show. It was great! I loved it as much as the kids did! they cried when we left. It was hot... More

Went with a stroller and a wheelchair and it was so difficult to push up and down the hills and the grassy areas. Some of the animals appeared to be in much too small enclosures - the white tiger cub and the bear especially. Some were lacking fresh water. The snakes were in far too small glass caged and they... I read the mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to expect during our recent visit. It is a decent value. Our family of four entered for $30, which may seem steep if you look around, but the place has to survive somehow. We enjoyed the ability to see animals that are usually reserved for big-city zoos. It was extremely hot... More

We were really on the fence about visiting since it is 2 hrs away and we found a few really nasty reviews. But we decided to give it a shot and I'm very glad that we did. This place is small, intimate, and definitely worth a visit. First, yes some of the animals are in smaller enclosures. But as is... More
