Interesting to see a gold mine that was recently active, as far as history goes! CJ was an excellent tour guide! I was surprised how damp it was and I was glad I wore good shoes as it seemed it was a little risky at times. Would recommend to anyone! Be aware, water drips down on you from the rocks... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this mine. The kids loved panning for gold. We did the mine tour and panning. I'm glad the kids were able to pan for gold first.... It kept them busy right from the start. On the day we visited, no one else was in our group for the mine tour, so we had our... More

This was a fun event for the adults and children. Narrator explained everything about the underground mine and when we were done they let us pan for some gold which most of us got about three little pieces, but it was fun.

Enjoyed the altitude in the mountains. Our tour guide austin was exactly what you would expect at a gold mine. He did a great job, keeping everyone captivated, motivated, and safe. After , i would recommend the gold and gemming experience. For my kids it was an education you cannot create on any lap top /hand held device. Hint: Get... More

Jerry or Gary (sorry can't recall) was an excellent tour guide! He gave a lot of great information about the mine and the area. My husband is not a fan of caves but, he had a good time too!. Would recommend a visit. Just be sure to wear good shoes (slippery) and be ready to walk up and down a... More

The fee for the walking tour is well worth the price. You watch a short video about gold mining and then walk through an old mine shaft. Lots of stairs and ramps but it is about 65 degrees. You get to see old mine equipment and our guide (Mike) kept it flowing and even made us laugh with some old... More

200 feet under the surface. It's a fascinating tour through the history of the Georgia gold rush. Micah, our tour guide was outstanding. Funny, clever and informative. The gem panning was well worth the price. The gold panning is included in your tour price. Great day trip for any age.

We have been coming to Dahlonega for about 10 years, our children have to come to Consolidated Gold Mine to get "Their Gems" They are very in tuned to their customers. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they continually add to the business, making each visit a new adventure.

The Gold Min is authentic which is nice. No glamorizing what must have been a horrible atmosphere. The staff was polite, courteous, and helpful. Do not let them up-sell you on the gem bucket as there is plenty of gems and you do not need to take home 100 rocks. No flip flops! Clean bathrooms and kudos again to a... More
