Super fun tour, video of the past, panning for gold and gem mining. They are all run by generous knowledgable people. Your children will love it, but so will you. Seriously pretty jewelry and fun items at the same time in the gift store, but the main feature is the tour, the gold panning and the gem mining . Cool... More

This was a fun little place to go. Gold panning and an actual gold mine you could go in. The people there really look the part too. Found out later, they dont just look the part, they are actual gold panners who do it in their spare time. very cool

My wife and I had an awesome time at the Consolidated Gold Mine. Our tour guide was funny, accommodating, and taught us a lot. We also really enjoyed panning for gold. Even though we didn't walk away with a nugget, we still had tons of fun!

The Consolidated Gold Mine is much more than a just an old mine. In its heyday, pounds of gold were recovered these historic digs. There is much history to discover and actually, for a mine, the walk through cool tunnels of the Consolidated Gold Mine was a pleasant experience. Excellent guides explain the operation of the mine, answer anyone's questions,... More

My 8-year old had a blast here! He enjoyed the tour. Their website warns you about having to climb stairs; there are a few steep sets and a few rather steep hills to climb on a wet surface, at times with no railing. Panning was a little difficult, and the result was only a few specks of gold. However, finding... More

Overall great time! I've been going to historic sites for over 50 years and this was one of the most informative! My guide, Johnny, was a wealth of information on the mine, gold mining in general, and geology! Very, very interesting. Really nice and helpful staff, clean restrooms and nice gift shop. When the back of the mine opens up,... More

This was a great place to spend quality time with my family. Staff was very friendly and helpful! The walk down into the mine was awesome. There is real equipment in the mine that was used back 100 years ago. The panning for gold was fun and we also did the gem mining. My teenagers thought this was real cool... More

We were with a large family group and we all had a great time. We took the tour. Our guide, Precious, was nice and the your was interesting and informative. After, we sifted for gold and also for minerals. The kids ages 9-17) all really enjoyed this. A very nice time. All if the employees were friendly and helpful.
