This is a must see for your family. It's a great place to take your kids or grand kids. You can pan for gold or gem stones. It has a mine tour in a real gold mind. Also a nice gift shop. I think you will enjoy it. You can't do this every place.

We were looking for a day trip that was close to home and happened upon Consolidated. We took the whole family - kids from 6 to 21 - and were pleasantly surprised when we got there. The tour was very interesting and informative and our guide Precious was very fun! We loved panning and came home with gold flakes and... More

Overall it was a fun place to visit. The tour was entertaining. The panning was fun. Best was stopping in the Gem Shop and chatting with Miner Mike.

Down the gold mine with my 2 girls and my parents....the steps and ramps made it possible for my mum to see it too. Thanks for the fantastic tour. Guide was soon knowledgeable and helped us also in recognising the gems that my girls panned out. Awesome.

We had a great time as a family. Traveled with kids ages 9-6, and one grandparent. The guide was great. The kids learned tons. The gold panning was fun, but bring a change of clothes for little ones. Ours dumped half the pan down the front of their shirt.

Loved this place. Decided to visit here after going to the museum (recommend visiting the museum first, just to get the back story). This place didn't disappoint. The mine was amazing. Our tour guide said they are working to get the entire top level of the mine open for tours..which would be about a 4 mile trek. Can't waif for... More

This is an old gold mine just outside Dahlonega. They have tours down into the old mine and you can even pan for gold. The kids will love it.

Took my family for my son's 8th birthday. Wasn't expecting to go on the tour, but decided to once we got there....totally glad we did. Miner Nolan was awesome and kept the tour informative and fun at the same time. Was hoping to find more gold in our pans but the kiddos still had fun with the experience.Store was well... More
