We did the mine tour, which included the gold panning. The mine tour was conducted by a young lad who was very sweet but appeared still to be learning his lines at certain points. The talk was informative and the mine atmospheric. It was good value for money but I am glad we didn't pay extra to do the gold... More

Back again for a gold panning experience! This time I must comment on how polite the entire staff was. It is good to know they realize that customer service is the way you keep people coming back! And yes, we found gold. A nice little nugget. 😀

This is an all around excellent value. This was perfect for my family. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the tour guide was really into character. He made us laugh many times and made a point to include each child as a volunteer. Needless to say, we enjoyed ourselves. When you enter the gift shop, you will be asked to... More

Loved the tour. It is a must do! Gold panning was good also. Really liked how the guys helped get gold out at the end. Gift shop is overpriced. More "touristy" than other mine, but provided much better customer service and historical explanations. Good for kids and adults.

This was not my first visit. Each time the Miner giving the tour is informative and adds just the right amount of humor. My only suggestion would be to make it possible to remove young children that disrupt the tour. Today, I was tempted to ask for my money back, but it was not the fault of the attraction. The... More

We'd been to other mine/gold panning attractions in the area, but Consolidated was the best we've seen. I thought the underground tour would be cheesy, but it was actually really interesting/beautiful, and the guide (Austin) was knowledgeable and humorous. He also involved the kids, and they loved that. At the beginning of the tour is a short video detailing the... More

Consolidated Gold Mine was a very nice surprise. All the employees we friendly and helpful and went beyond what you usually see in attractions like this. The mine tour was very informative, but, presented in a way that was interesting to children and adults alike. We had 4 children between 5 and 9 and they loved it all. The actually... More
