Pleasant, helpful staff! Interesting collection reflective of the area, including a section on Blind Tom. Free, too!

I enjoyed taking my God - daughter she had a blast. This museum had a travel back to the past section, that displayed furniture, clothes, and art. It also has a verbal hands on that you can quiz the kids on & after all that learning it has a very kid friendly children section where your kid can color, take... More

One must commend the curators for their display selections. They have managed to combine regional history and art into a coherent and enjoyable whole. We were genuinely surprised at how much there is to see. The cultural history of the region, from prehistoric Indian cultures through Columbus' role in the manufacture of textiles, is extremely well done and extremely interesting.... More

My fiance and I had been to Columbus several times, but one time we drove by the museum and I made a mental note that one day I'd like to give the museum a visit. Two weekends ago, we did. It was great! First, there is no set admission to the museum, pay what you can. There is a donation... More

We visited the museum to discover what it was about. We were very surprised to find very helpful Docents that shared a thorough history of the exhibits that were featured. We later learned the Docents were volunteers that were truly interested in providing an accurate description of the displays.

I love how it displays a local artist's work in the top level and displays the children's art from local schools. My favorite is the installation pieces such as the native american hut, school house, and old country house that was there last time i visited. The personal collection is interesting, too. It offers a plethora of variety of artwork... More
