My wife and I were interested in seeing the Springer - expecially as it had been restored in recent years and we had not seen it since. We were fortunate to stumble upon the General Manager. She generously showed us around the Springer, which is actually a living, breathing complex of stages, schools, actors' residences, costume and stage-making and an... More

My wife & I attended "Della's Diner" in the McClure Theatre on Thursday evening 11/20. The musical performances by the six actors were pleasant, energetic, & amusing, although the storyline was cornball/sophomoric. The McClure is small with open seating, so I'd advise coming early if you want the best seating (although any seat is fine). The individual chairs are closely... More

There is no limit to the purely positive adjectives that I could apply to this, the State Theater of Georgia. It is a relic and a masterpiece for those of who have been there, performed there, and enjoyed the spirit of the dramatic arts there. For some of us, it was where we found ourselves--it was where we discovered friendship... More

The springer house is a place to go when you just want to go on an old fashion date night, but theatrically. It was enjoyable.

A beautiful facility with top rate performances!! We have had season tickets for 10 years. We drive 70 miles to Columbus to attend five plays a year.

The Springer is a great place to go for some quality entertainment. The places are really put together with great care, and are very enjoyable to watch. It is also a great place for an intimate date.

We moved here 1 year ago and bought season tickets. Great value and a great season of plays! The building is historic and well maintained.

The Springer has so much to offer...great shows, tours, history, the list goes on. We go to a show at the theater at least two or three times a year. I highly recommend their productions. And, the theater offers you a wonderful glimpse into the past. It is one of the oldest theaters in the country. We love the Springer

We go to a lot of plays -- both regional: the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia, Cape May Stage in New Jersey, Shakespeare in Lenox, Massachusetts, plus Broadway, planned again later this summer as well as over many years before -- but until now, we had not discovered Springer Opera House. The setting is impressive, the cast of actors even... More

I don't think you'd get much out of just going to the Springer Opera House, but if you have a reason to be there like a play or an event, it is a beautiful venue to experience. If you have a particular interest in old theaters, perhaps you could call ahead and arrange a tour.
