Today it is the region's premeire professional theatre that annually produces 13 shows with talent from Los Angeles to New York. Beyond the history of this great theater, it has really become a vibrant part of the community. The local players do a fine job and lots of volunteers help out and act as ushers to help costs down and ticket prices reasonable. We enjoyed several excellent productions this spring.

Drawing from local talent, trained at the Springer's own theater school from children and Columbus State University along with accomplished accomplished actors from across the USA, The Springer Opera House continues to always provide me with a great night of live theater. I have been season ticket purchaser for many years, but usually a ticket is available for anyone wishing... More

Beautiful historical theater with reasonable prices for their shows. Arrive early if downtown is busy that night. You might have to walk a few blocks because parking is hit or miss.

We went there not knowing what to expect. We took the tour and it was the best hour and a half we spent in Columbus besides seeing family. I would take the tour again! I can't wait to go back and see a show. I loved the sweet young lady who gave us the tour. She was amazing in her... More

Beautiful theater with wonderful history. We have seen many orchestra's, musicals and plays here. Every seat is offers a great view and the design of the Opera house makes for a reverberating sound that amplifies voices and makes instruments and song come alive! They always seem to have a great selection of events. Make a night of it and have... More

My wife and I were interested in seeing the Springer - expecially as it had been restored in recent years and we had not seen it since. We were fortunate to stumble upon the General Manager. She generously showed us around the Springer, which is actually a living, breathing complex of stages, schools, actors' residences, costume and stage-making and an... More

My wife & I attended "Della's Diner" in the McClure Theatre on Thursday evening 11/20. The musical performances by the six actors were pleasant, energetic, & amusing, although the storyline was cornball/sophomoric. The McClure is small with open seating, so I'd advise coming early if you want the best seating (although any seat is fine). The individual chairs are closely... More
