Awesome paved path stretching along the Chattahoochee River. If you travel south from Uptown towards Ft. Benning the river is calm and the path secluded. It's an easy ride and a great way to spend the afternoon. If you travel north from Uptown towards North Highlands Dam, you get to see all of the world class Chattahoochee River Park. The... More

Everything about the riverwalk is an enjoyable event, but the parking of your vehicle can be adventure. There is pay parking that you can take advantage of. Searching for public free parking can be time consuming, and not worth it in the long run.

It was fun watching the rafters come down in the evening when they open the floodgates. The kayakers are quite entertaining as well. There are some good spots for pictures.

Great fun watching the white river rafters try their skills. You could walk for 8 miles if you have the stamina, however it was way to hot and humid for us.

I've always liked the River Walk. Lots of great memories here and occasionally they have great events here! Love running here with my dogs as well.

When I'm in Columbus, there's nothing better than to go to the river and relax! I like to just watch the flow of the river, usually near the rapids downtown. About every 30 minutes You get to see rafts full of people try to ride the rapids. At least half flip! The Riverwalk is nice, but a long way down.... More

Our group strolled by the river, watched the kayakers, ate in the vicinity, marveled at the landscape and plantings, and smart housing that has been developed. I look forward to see further growth here in five years from now. A job well done and definitely experiencing.

A walk on the river walk is pretty much the thing to do in Columbus. I think there might be a bike rental place somewhere nearby and if so I think that would be fun as well. I didn't rent a bike but would have loved to.

There are many entrance points to the River Walk from the Lake Oliver Marina to south near Ft. Benning. The downtown (or "uptown" area is more developed and has some excellent statuary along the banks. We often take people to an entrance near the historic Mott House on the TSYS campus. Unfortunately, the Mott House was destroyed in a recent... More

The Riverwalk is great. Take a stroll and see how beautiful historic Columbus is at either night or during the day.
