This is a perfect way of spending a lovely afternoon with family. We enjoyed the beautiful clean park on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed watching the people white water raft down the river. The next time on our visit we will try the white water rafting. It's handicap accessible and also has clean redtrooms.
We enjoyed walking the entire length of the Riverwalk in Columbus this past weekend on a visit to Columbus, Georgia. We enjoyed the people watching as well as the scenery on this beautiful day with lots of sunshine made for a great visit.
A joy to take a stroll or go for a bike ride you can go for miles. You can sit and watch the kayak's play in the river. You could begin your bike ride from Ft. Benning or downtown Columbus.

Don't miss all the nice sculptures along the river and in the historical downtown area. This is one of those areas where... More

We intended on just walking down to look at the river and leaving, but we ended up staying for over an hour. The walkway is nice and wide and in great condition. My kids enjoyed going down... More

Start by renting bikes on broadway, ride the river walk to Oxbow meadows, stop by the National Infantry museum and grab lunch while you are there. Head back and turn in your bike then walk broadway and... More

Also, seeing as how driving in Columbus is like driving in Mumbai, but with less-courteous motorists, the riverwalk is my conveyance of choice. Sure, a chunk of it breaks off and tumbles into the roiling rapids every now... More
