Picked up the riverwalk at Road America and ran to the National Infantry Museum (about 5 miles) as part off a Rotary Relay to Jekyll Island for the District Conference. So quiet and peaceful, especially going thru Oxbow Meadows. Whether you are a runner, biker, or walker, I can't imagine many better venues than this.

This is a nice well maintained paved trail that runs along the river for the most part. The southern end does deviate from the river on to Ft. Benning and although I did not go to that end I was told one could continue on the trail in to Ft. Benning without having to worry about having badges or visitor... More

Bring sunscreen and wear something loose fitting and enjoy the great view on your walk. There are some attractions like the zip line across the water and plenty of restaurants on the Georgia side of the river. The only lack I saw was enough public restrooms and it looks like some were being constructed under the northern bridge.

A nice wide trail along the riverfront. Pedestrians, strollers, bicycles. Anything motorized probably not allowed.

there is unrealized potential here. for one reason or another this area has never quite gotten off the ground.

The Columbus Riverwalk is a great place to do nothing, and it is a great space to do a lot. We spent a beautiful spring (late) afternoon down on the Columbus Riverwalk watching groups of people (young and old) tackle the white water rapids. We also saw a zip line, however it was closed by the time we got there.... More

The scenery is nice and the trail keeps you out of traffic. I like riding my bike on it. It depends on the destination. otherwise you miss the whole North Side of Columbus.

If the weather is nice, then you must visit the Columbus Riverwalk for a delightful stroll along side the Chattahoochee River.

Stretch your legs and take a walk down the river while watching the kayakers looping through the whitewater. No amenities other that public restrooms , but your are only two blocks from the restaurant row, so a nice walk and then refreshments are close by.

We drove to Columbus for the day especially to cycle around and get outside in the lovely spring weather. It was just delightful to find such a wonderful local, free, well maintained and scenic pathway. Whether you cycle, walk or run this walkway is great. The views along the river are lovely. It is quiet and peaceful, but also well... More
