I have never been to Columbus, but I was impressed with the riverwalk. I wish that I had more time to look for geocaches. Also, next time I will rent a bike so I can explore more of the riverwalk.

The Riverwalk is nice. It's long too! I'm not sure of how many miles but it's at least 15 one way. I've been rollerblading, bike riding, and walking/running. I like the part closer to downtown the best. The newer Phenix City side and Woodruff park is nice. You can spend a relaxing or fun few hours with the family then... More

This is a nice place to stroll and watch kayakers and river raft go down the rapids and river. There are several benches along the way to sit and enjoy the scenery.

The Columbus Riverwalk is a very nice path suitable for walking or for bicycling. Going from the city center along the Chattahoochee river for about 15 miles. Being a riverside park/path, it is uniquely scenic and there are great views of the city and of the river. I was happy to note the presence of bicycle patrol police to keep... More

We sat on the Riverwalk Sunday afternoon while visiting Columbus, and enjoyed watching the people rafting/tubing down the Chattahoochee. Hard to believe this is right downtown! Looks so inviting on a hot day! Next time we will bring our tubes with us!

I wish I could have gotten down there on the river! It looked like fun. The shops are not as close as I thought to the Columbus Riverwalk, but that was okay. I went on a Sunday to visit and was kinda disappointed that so many neat little shops closed.. But I guess that is why it's the Bible belt.... More

I continue to be amazed at the city of Columbus, Ga. The history involved is fascinating and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the historic marker signs. The River walk is AWESOME! It is well groomed and landscaped and goes for MILES! The view always changes-from the historic section, to under a free way pass, to Golden Park (a baseball... More

The river is beautiful and if you like rapids then it's a cool place to visit but it can be a little sketchy in the evenings. I would not stay past sundown but it is a nice place to run during the day.

We went for a simple walk on the river front. Pleasant surprise to see it has continued to grow. Loved to see the white water rafting and tours of the old mills. Great use of the area.
