In the Castello del Trebbio, the infamous Pazzi family (Pazzi means crazy) with the support of the Pope, planned the murder of the beloved members of the De Medici family who were in power in Florence during the Renaissance period. At an Easter morning Mass, the Pazzis orchestrated a vicious attack, succeeding in murdering Giordano and injuring brother Lorenzo de... More

We went to the castle as part of a tour during a cruise. It was just as described and a nice change from our other tours. A nice drive up to the castle. A walk through the castle with a guide. Went into the wine and olive oil storage areas. Had a light lunch with a tasting of 3 wines.... More

I thought that we were going on a wine tour through Tuscany, not a 2 minute walk through of someone's house. It was cool to see where the wine was made, but the tour guide then spent 20 minutes talking about olive oil, not even wine. We had 3 small tastings of wine and that was it. Very in and... More

dear guest from philadelphia, i read with attention your negative comment, the first negative of almost 200 written in 13 years of activity, always under my management. i would love to find out a concrete negative point of our tour, but i see from your comments that the problem was not in our tour, which is always very appreciated, but... We have just returned home from Italy after experiencing a weekend which included my daughters wedding at Castello del Trebbio. If I could give this place 10+++ stars I would. We arrived and on our first night experienced a fantastic tour, wine tasting and gorgeous food made interesting and captivating by the wonderful host Alberto. The wedding was magica, from... More

My wife and I were here with a tour; it was a surprise dinner location, as well as a tour of the Castle, including the wine and olive oil storage areas, plus a tour of their private chapel. Very interesting, though due to the late hour, we were quite hungry. Our dinner consisted of Tuscan Salami (Finocchiona), Pecorino cheese with... More

We were here as a group for wine tasting and tour of the Castello. Our guide made the history of the Pazzi family come alive and was informative about the wine produced. The tasting with the bruschetta was very good and all relaxed. They ship worldwide too if you don't or can't buy all you want at the time. The... More

We stayed at Castello del Trebbio for four night. We had a private apartment with a washing machine, a full kitchen, two rooms, and a large bathroom with a shower. We opted for the honeymoon package, which included a cooking lesson (taught in Italian by the mother of the owner of the castle--she was delightful), a tour of the castle,... More

Beautiful surroundings. The castle is still occupied. Good wine! Had to bring some wine home! Alberto was very kind and gave us an interesting history of the castle and family who reside there.

We had a group of four and did the castle tour, wine tasting, cooking class and delicious lunch with what was made in the class. It was actually my favorite part of the trip and the whole trip was fantastic, so that's saying a lot! Our guide was very knowledgeable, fun, interesting and made us feel very much at ease.... More
