My fiancée (at the time, now my wife) were lucky enough to find this place through our wedding planner (Sonja at Tuscania Events, she’s great!). We had our wedding reception at the restaurant with a cocktail reception in the loggia of the castle. We decided to stay at Villa Pergola for a week with our family (9 people) and rented... More

A friend of mine got married here in May and frankly, the place is absolute magic. We had a great time with a large group, already sitting outside, enjoying the local wine (which can be bought in the shop) and fantastic food. If you can, try to stay close in one of the houses surrounding the Castello.

Loved visiting this site. Enjoyed the tour. Enjoyed the food. Loved the wine and oil that we purchased.

Castello del Trebbio offered the true experience of a visit to a Tuscan Winery... and included the added bonus of visiting a castle with history and intrigue! The wine tasting was informative with generous portions of snacks with the tastings. The tour guide was professional, well informed and had a cute sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit! Wish... More

Alberto greeted us then took us through the family castle and into the wine cellar. He told us all about the history of the area and information on the local wine and olives. We then went to the dining room and had some beautiful traditional food and locally produced wine. Yet another special night on our Trafalgar tour around Italy,... More

Beautiful medieval castle, the family that currently owns it, actually lives here. Marta and Alberto work very hard, and love showing off this beautiful place and its wines. It's really hard to get bad wine in Tuscany, but the San Giovese they make here is really good. Wish we weren't being rushed due to the other 2 groups that day,... More

In the Castello del Trebbio, the infamous Pazzi family (Pazzi means crazy) with the support of the Pope, planned the murder of the beloved members of the De Medici family who were in power in Florence during the Renaissance period. At an Easter morning Mass, the Pazzis orchestrated a vicious attack, succeeding in murdering Giordano and injuring brother Lorenzo de... More

We went to the castle as part of a tour during a cruise. It was just as described and a nice change from our other tours. A nice drive up to the castle. A walk through the castle with a guide. Went into the wine and olive oil storage areas. Had a light lunch with a tasting of 3 wines.... More

I thought that we were going on a wine tour through Tuscany, not a 2 minute walk through of someone's house. It was cool to see where the wine was made, but the tour guide then spent 20 minutes talking about olive oil, not even wine. We had 3 small tastings of wine and that was it. Very in and... More

dear guest from philadelphia, i read with attention your negative comment, the first negative of almost 200 written in 13 years of activity, always under my management. i would love to find out a concrete negative point of our tour, but i see from your comments that the problem was not in our tour, which is always very appreciated, but... We have just returned home from Italy after experiencing a weekend which included my daughters wedding at Castello del Trebbio. If I could give this place 10+++ stars I would. We arrived and on our first night experienced a fantastic tour, wine tasting and gorgeous food made interesting and captivating by the wonderful host Alberto. The wedding was magica, from... More
