Kids had fun. We bought the 60.00 bucket. As the kids found their gems I just kept checking in the dirt where they were sifting and found gold. See attached photo.

I have visited this site many times in the past and will definitely go again. Spending time with family and friends can't be beat when you're sorting rocks from gems from a bucket. I've found rubies, sapphires, emeralds, garnets, etc in just one trip! If you like, the shop can even turn your treasures into jewelry as a reminder of... More

We stopped here on our way to Helen, GA for vacation. We wanted to do some gem grubbing and bought a bucket for us to share. It wasn't cheap but we got some nice gems. As it was later in the day, we were kinda rushed to finish, but they gave us big baggies to put our rocks in and... More

Have been here a couple of times. I enjoyed prospecting from the pile of dirt they load creek side. Panning for gold at the store is okay too. Never had trouble finding color or gems. The campsites are primitive. I just wish they would keep their dogs from roaming free. They bothered my dog quite a bit and howled all... More

We were charged more than the website said it cost and the person working the counter needs to acquire some people skills. Not worth the money go somewhere else or do nothing at all, it would be a better experience.

My family drove 1.5 hours from Atlanta because we read and saw how awesome the gem mining experience could be. We pull in and there are big dogs loose and in huge cages. It was extremely small and looked nothing like the pictures on the ads. It was very disappointing! We were very excited and were let down! We did... More

My family decided to go gem mining, something we have never done before! We loved it! When we pulled up, I noticed there was also an animal rescue there as well. The young lady in the office, AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable and helped us the entire time. I would recommend getting the larger bucket because you will get some... More

We took out boys out while staying in Helen and had a wonderful time. The staff was fantastic and patient with the young boys. The buckets here are filled with rocks not sand, and you have to look for colors that pop out. When you are done you take up your "treasures" for evaluation by the staff. It was too... More

I took my girlfriend here when were staying near Atlanta. It was a 1.5 hour drive but worth it. We had a blast. We rented all the tools you needed for "grubbin" for $30 and headed down to the creek for some messy fun. We did a few buckets at the first pile and came up with a few nice... More

A tranquil setting for a fun time. The area was gorgeous and peaceful. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. This is an activity that could be a quick trip or all day if you really get into it. The first day we went, we sifted through one of their larger buckets and enjoyed the time and scenery.... More
