I took the trip on the 'beginner' half of the river with 3 other people in April. We had a great time. Although it was cold in the morning when we arrived, we were given wetsuits and splash jackets to keep us warm. We loaded up in the bus and drove to te put in which was about 15 minutes... More

We took a trip with a few friends this summer and had the best time! The river itself is absolutely breath taking... our guide was funny and we just loved paddling down the river. We didn't flip our raft once, but we did get to jump into the refreshingly cool water. The rapids were so invigorating without the scare factor...... More

We booked a tour for our family reunion and everyone had a great time. The personnel were helpful in organizing the event and professional with emphasis on safety. The best rafting group on the river! More

I went on a whitewater rafting trip late in the rafting season. Water levels were extremely low, which meant that it took some of the excietement that I was looking for away. However I still enjoyed myself and was glad I went. The staff has a nice outpost, provide wetsuits, and were very professional. They let me know up front... More

The Chattooga River is one of the few rivers you can raft down and not see so much commercialism. Our guide and all the guides in our group were so much fun and they were all professional and had safety first on their agenda. They make the trip fun by allowing you to swim and view waterfalls etc. We we... More

I've rafted a handful of other rivers (New River, Nolichucky, Lower Yough, Cheat, Savage), and for rugged, scenic beauty, the Chattooga is as good or better than any other river I've done. I can see why they chose to film Deliverance here. I went with Southeastern Expeditions and had no problems with them. Good website - informative, easy online reservations... More

This was our entire family's first white water outing. Our guide, Mike, was amazing! He took us through safety, tips, how to use our gear, etc. which made us more comfortable when we got on the water. We saw no cars while on the river. It was just the forest and our group on the river. The lunch provided was... More

We were very happy with Southeastern Expeditions. Our guide was Chuck and we felt very lucky to have him. He was experienced, safe, and knowledgable but also provided an adventurous ride. We did the Section IV trip and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Having used Nantahala Outdoor Center in the past on another river, SEE is the superior company. This is not... More

Tommy Giordano was our guide. He handled our raft expertly and better yet he taught us to handle the raft quickly and with confidence. He allowed my younger son to guide the raft in certain areas as he told stories, gave a few short history lessons and generally had an enthusiasm for what he does. My 2 sons, wife and... More
