Just returned from a two day, two night stay at walk-in campsite #4. Four people, two dogs, and a giant tent. The distance from the car was wonderful and awful. Packing in and out, and the hike to the showers was tough, but the distance from a full campground was wonderful. We could only see one other campsite. We had...

I spent 2 days and 2 nights at the campground lot 63. The lots are not private but are separated. There is a good canopy of trees so the sun does not beat down on you. The cable works for a nice change. Only has about 10-12 channels, but who looks a gift horse in the mouth.
The site was...

My friend and I visited Fort Mountain recently looking for the Stone Wall relics and wildflowers that we heard were in bloom. We hiked up to the stone wall ( circa1100 A.D. ? Welsh explorers-ever heard of that??). It was absolutely wonderful. On the way back down I looked over off the path and there were Pink-Lady Slippers growing everywhere....

We went to Fort Mountain State Park to camp on Easter weekend for the 1st time. We had a great visit. Our campsite was a larger 50' site, not a pull thru but they did have some of those. It was a quiet & private site #56, the sites around it were the same. Our site had a picnic table,...

We have been to Fort Mountain State Park several times. The drive there is breathtaking and the park is great for families with kids of all ages. The overlook is a great stop for a picnic lunch and the stone wall is a fun place for a carefully played game of hide and seek. The history is rich at Fort...

Our family enjoys hiking. Fort mt offered us a moderate hiking experience with incredible views and even a swimming beach for the little ones (9 and 11). Plenty of trails to satify any hiking level and great views of the valley or lake from the picnic area. Camping is also available for those who wish to enjoy multiple days. Great...

Spent 2 nights tent camping our kids. This park is well maintained. We reserved an RV ready spot as our tent is a bit larger and it was perfect. The resident manager was very helpful in discussing different spots and their advantages. We brought our canoe and went out in the lake.
Bathroom facilities were very clean.
Would definitely return.
