Gardens very pretty but very steep, lots of colour and very lush. Visited with my wife and two daughters only trouble is my daughters are over 16 so cannnot get family price so was expensive for us. I wish places like this would give a discount for students or family parties. Worth a visit if you like plants.

Visited two weeks ago and was very pleasantly suprised and impressed by the variation of the gardens. Staff were very friendly and had lovely lunch available in the tea room.

The end of July is not the best time for most gardens, as they are often 'between' flowering times, so the garden was not dramatic in terms of colour, but is spectacular in its setting on an expansive hillside. We enjoyed the vision of a garden that used the steep landscape to show off the vistas provided by the trees... More

We found this garden listed on the Internet and what a find it is. It is one man's dream, started from nothing. It is a layered garden constructed on an escarpment, as you walk higher a new small garden appears. The tea room run by the family makes an excellent break, and we were lucky to meet the garden owner... More

You can,t help but appreciate the hard work and results to date in this beautiful place. It an absolute cracker and worth ever penny of the admission charge. Our visit started with a home made scone & cream tea at the small patio then off to explore the plantings. Although a little steep it was dry so not too difficult... More

We were staying in a lovely and unusual thatched cottage in Cribyn, hired through UTT, near Lampeter and kept driving past Cae Hir Gardens, then we decided to have a look. What a delight. We felt it was a little expensive at £6 each person, would be good to have reduction for a party of four...but we thoroughly enjoyed the... More

Absolute perfection. Go there and enjoy the shear beauty of the gardens and location. Tea and coffe for 2 and a slow walk to the top of the gardens using the right hand side of the garden to stay in the shade on a hot afternoon and then a gentle meander back down throgh the beds, borders and trees.

We came across this garden whilst driving, so decided to stop and investigate; Wow it was stunning so much to see and admire, on a slope but lots of interesting planting and landscaping. Beautiful statuary and ornamental ponds, stunning, the work that has been undertaken over many years of hard work. Well done Father and Son.

We visited these wonderful gardens last week, and despite me being asthmatic, I managed the climb to the top. Boy - was it worth it! The vistas were delightful and the planting and trees magnificent. We were also struck by the hospitality of the family, and spoke to the marvellous creator of these gardens, as well as his son &... More

I can't believe that I completely ignored these gardens until visitors came from Canada last month! Beautifully and carefully sculpted gardens by a family passionate about all-things-plant. Lovely time. I also have to say that the scone and coffee were the best I have had in 100 miles - so make time to have a snack in the lovely cafe.... More
