This was my #1 to do on my blue ridge list and it did not disappoint. The drive along the forest service road was not nearly as bad as I was expecting from some other posts. Just a hint, if you arrive when no one else is around to point to the trail, take the trail on the left as... More

Beautiful but long drive to falls. We went in the winter so can only imagine how much more beautiful the drive would be in the spring /fall! 5 miles of the trip was on an unpaved, windy forest road (not recognized on Google maps). Could miss the trail if you go at a time that no one else is there.... More

Beautiful drive with plenty of areas to stop along the way, the falls are about a 1.5 mile hike from the road/parking area. The hike itself was an easy incline, with well marked paths, leading to the falls. Yes, the road is mostly dirt/gravel the last few miles but hey....your in the mountains, man!

I've visited here several times and always enjoyed it. It is a pleasant walk, not too difficult, and the falls are quite nice. Friends and family have enjoyed it.

Wow, we were pleasantly surprised! The walk was pleasant and the falls were stunning!!! I recommend this to everyone, the trek in isn't difficult. It is not paved (for wheel chairs). We are going back again this weekend:)

Not too difficult to find with our map from our cabin. The hike was fairly easy and the falls were naturally beautiful of course. Only a few other folks there so it was nice!

A short walk with a little bit of grade to waterfall. Drive want as bad as I expected from description. My granddaughter and I enjoyed the walk and sights.

The hike was pleasant and very easy. As we approached the falls, the volume of the sound made by the cascading water increased considerably, and this made the hike that much more enjoyable.

Not too strenuous- short 20 minute hike to a beautiful waterfall. Hike through rhododendrons and alongside a creek all the way up to the pristine double waterfall.

We took our kids ages 6 and 1 on a hike on a nice fall day. The dirt road is long and bumpy, but beautiful we saw two deer. The hike wasn't too difficult, even with needing to carry our one year old most of the way there and back. The kids enjoyed throwing rocks in the river. There were... More
