Loved the hike and ending at the falls was beautiful. It was not crowded so we felt peaceful walking through the woods soaking up the scenery. We loved the many options of hiking trails. And the best part was the falls got great photos.

My wife and I were up from Atlanta looking for something to do. I pulled directions from Mapquest to locate Long Creek Falls. After driving for a while on some Forrest Access Roads we came upon what we believed was the location to hike towards the falls. However, because it was not marked very well we had to ask other... Beautiful hike to the falls. Hiked from Springer mountain to Hightower gap! The Long Creek falls was the best view.

The falls themselves are beautiful. The hike is of moderate intensity and about 30 minutes each way by foot from the parking area. The one main issue we had was that we couldn't find the parking area. We drove passed it before turning around and doubling back some miles later. In multiple locations along the roadway, cars would be parked... More

Long Creek Falls were beautiful. Coming from Florida on a 2 day trip we chose to visit these falls. The 10 minute hike was worth the trip when we made it to the falls. Breathtaking!

The trail was easy with no big hills. The falls were pretty. This is a good place for a family outing or to go with friends for a casual outing. It was neat to be able to say that we were on the Appalachian Trail and the Benton MacKaye (BMT) Trail even though it was a minuscule part of the... More

The hike is of moderate intensity, but the falls are gorgeous. There are multiple tiers for the falls. The drive will take you over half the time of expedition. It is 15 miles down forest service road, which is bumpy. You must have an SUV or Truck, no low clearance cars.

There was quite a drive and a pretty good hike to this waterfall, but it was well worth it. The trail is a bit confusing when you park, as there is a sign that points both ways to falls (go to the left). Some nice person helped out by adding some helpful directions in marker on the confusing sign. Also,... More

We hiked to Long Creek last year - well worth the trek to get there! The falls are beautiful especially in the fall when the leaves are turning.

A bit confusing when you arrive. Trail to the falls will be on you left as you arrive. Trail is easy and scenic. Young kids can handle easily. Something to see.
