We happen to be blessed enough to be part time residents of Blue Ridge, GA and Noontootla is only about 20 minutes from our mountain home there. It's only a gentle 1.1 mi hike to the falls and once you get there you won't want to leave its so beautiful. The falls are absolutely gorgeous! And so many other places... More

Part of the adventure begans trying to locate this park. The Georgia Trails website helped. Then, there was about 5 miles of gravel road. Along that way, there were campground areas to pull off. We had a lovely lunch on the side of the creek. Then, we proceeded to find the falls. There are small signs that direct you, but... More

This waterfall was a good walk to get to but we enjoyed it. The air was crisp and the trees blocked most of the beautiful sun. The water was chilly and very clear.

Started family trek on final 5 mile+ gravel, bumpy, winding and pot-hole filled road. No official signage for start of trail. We just stopped when we saw other cars parked. There's a footbridge over creek and this trail leads to nowhere. After hiking on wrong trail for 1.5miles, realized we were on wrong trail. Once we got back to car... More

We headed out while staying in Blue Ridge. We've taken a scenic drive on Aska Rd. in past visits, but never to the falls. The ride up the gravel mountain road was beautiful & pristine!! We hiked what seems like more than the posted "1 mile" to the magnificent falls. Our children, 11 & 9 really enjoyed the experience. We'll... More

The drive was something to remember... you'll go a max of 10 miles an hour on an unpaved/pothole filled road. Look over the side occasionally to see the beautiful creek below... and then quickly keep your eyes back on the road when you realize how far down that creek is from the road (easily 30 feet!) I was queasy for... More

Make sure to hit your mileage reset so you when you get 5.4 miles from the Forrest Road turn you'll know when to look for the small trail sign and small area to park. We passed right by it. The falls trail it to the left as you come in. Someone hand wrote on the sign an arrow but it's... More

The short one mile walk to the falls was not challenging, but the forest service road was a bit harrowing at times in a car. Not horrible if you're careful to avoid the rather large holes in the road and the protruding rocks. Just know that 5 miles on this road will take a long time at 5-10 mph. The... More

Looking at the beautiful lakeside homes and the pontoons. Paddling at the falls and taking photos. The kids loved it. Sorry we didn't see more waterfalls, but our footwear was the problem.

It was a pretty easy mile hike to the falls. There were a lot of people at the falls and seemed to be a bit of a tourist trap. My wife and I decided to continue hiking after the falls, and that's where the crowds thinned out and it got really awesome. Even in the middle of summer, it was... More
