Cute little store, but we took our kids especially for the gem mining (which I read all about here). When we arrived we were told they only do an on-the-road gem mining to schools now, nothing on-site. They do however sell bags of "pay-dirt" for $5 each that you can mine at home or at your cabin. We bought the... More

If you're traveling with kids, head directly to Huck's, on Blue Ridge's main tourist street. It's a great general store-type place with all kinds of old fashioned games, plus a huge selection of "penny candy"---the kids choose it from rows of buckets, and then pay by the pound. Say hello to the owner, Brett Massey, who is a friendly, helpful... More

I would really liked to have made a purchase today from the Huck's Lost Mine general store, but instead I walked out and will never come back. I have an injured ankle, so I am on crutches. I got there thinking that the mini golf would still be open, as the store was open. Looking at their website, there was... More

Great candy selection with some toys/activities in the back. They too have gem mining but went to Lilly Pad Village since it was in the mountains.

I have taken my Grandchildren gem mining & mini golf every time they come to visit. This is a gin place for small children. A good indoor activity when it is raining

We were passing through blue ridge and found this place (by the rail road tracks). Our daughter LOVED it! It cost $6.95 + tax and they gave you a gallon bag of dirt to shift through. All around it took about 30 mins (Our daughter really took her time and enjoyed it). The young woman spent her time with us... More

Everyone associated with Huck's is friendly and very helpful with in store products and with information about Fannin County. Stop in for a candy trip down memory lane!

Worth a stop in to the shop to buy some candy then over to the "mine" for the children to find some gems. You buy a bag of dirt and dump it in to a screen to see what you have. Fun for children.

Hard to believe they could get 9 holes of mini-golf into this tiny space, but they did. And it is fun, if a bit crammed. At least it is indoors, so it doesn't matter if it's rainy or cold outside. This was our second visit in two years to Huck's. I had 3 teens with me, so this time we... More
