This is a spectacular view, was on a motorcycle trip around and stopped to see. it is a fee to park, not much 5 bucks. They do have a shuttle to the top if you do not wish to hike up. The gentleman drive was a fun filled sort with great knowledge. If in the area, stop by and enjoy,... More

We went to Brasstown Bald during our stay in Helen. It is quite a hike to the top of the mountain, but it is well worth it. We were told that you could take a shuttle to the top during the weekends. The sky was clear and you could see a long ways. The only fee we paid was for... More

Expected more, but if you like to have a good view of the highest point of GA, this would be it. Visitor Center on Top, $5 per person to get in. Unless you go on long hikes from here, safe your $.

Love Ga parks. This is one of our favorite. Park is not open for the season yet, but you can still hike up to the top. Great view, we were actually above the clouds on the day we went. They have a nice learning center at the top during the season.

We rode up to Brasstown Bald Mountain on February 19, 2014. Although they were closed for the winter still, we were still able to see some great scenery including lots of snow that was still on the ground. We plan to go back in the spring to hike to the top and go up on the observation deck. It is... More

Beautiful drive up to the mountain. Various waterfalls along the way which you can pull over and "play" in. !

I highly recommend visiting Brasstown Bald Mountain. The views are breathtaking! You can hike to the top or take the shuttle for a $5 fee per person. On clear days, you can see Atlanta from the observation deck. There is also a little museum that has interesting displays that is included in the $5 fee. I will definitely go back... More

I have visited Brasstown Bald many times over the years in Spring, Summer and Autumn and have hiked to the top as well as taking the shuttle bus up. Never have I been disappointed- even in cloudy weather the experience is well worth the trip...ah but the views when the weather fully cooperates! The views in each direction are breathtaking-the... The panoramic views at Brasstown Bald are truly breathtaking. My fiancé and I visited the Bald at the end of fall so the trees were almost all stripped of their leaves. The staff members we encountered were very friendly. We will be visiting again soon.

The friendly man at the visitor kiosk said we could take the shuttle bus or walk the 0.6 mile trail. He forgot to mention the 500' elevation change on the trail -- 15% grade. But it was worth it. On a clear day one can see forever. OK, sounds corny, but the panoramic views are wonderful. So take the hike... More
