This is one of the best state parks in GA. Great view that you can see forever. Make sure you have good break for the return back down the mountain!

We love the view from this mountain, and come to this area every few months. Great views, very peaceful, cool even in the summer, gorgeous wildflowers, helpful staff, tiny but interesting museum. Close to Blairsville and Track Rock Gap. Makes a good day trip - or a long weekend to discover and explore the area.

We recently visited Brasstown Bald and the views are spectacular. Make sure to take a jacket when you go. It wasn't a cold day, but on top of the mountain it was very chilly! In addition to the location being a great place to visit, the staff's help accommodating me was fantastic. To get to the viewing area requires a... More

I appreciate the tram option to get to the top. We walked up and road back. The Bald's Visitor's Center was well maintained and offered a lovely view. We would have been better served if there were a purposively picnic area adjacent to the Gift Store.

Cool view. Short but very steep hike up and down to viewpoint. Really chilly when we were there and open to the wind. There is a heated museum at the top and bathrooms. The shuttle will take you up and down, if you aren't into the hike. Didn't quite see Atlanta but the mountains and waterways in the surrounding area... More

My husband and I hiked Brasstown Bald this weekend. This is the highest point in Georgia, and beautiful views of 4 states (SC, NC, TN, GA) can be seen from this point on a clear day. The weather was perfect the day we went. I would recommend a clear day if possible for good views. The hike is only 0.6... More

We drove several hundred miles to climb this peak. unfortunately the weather was cloudy and rain when we got to the top of the windy and steep road leading to the park. Even though we could not see if use the Shilliday at the very top was impressive. You could tell it would be wonderful had the weather cooperated. After... More

This is a must-see if you are anywhere in the vicinity! It is the highest point in Georgia and you can see beautiful views in every direction. You can walk up (strenuous) or ride the park-provided transportation and hear interesting info on the history of the mountain from the guide during the quick 5 minute ride up. There is a... More

We stayed in the Blairsville area. We visited in mid Sept. The area was not crowded. One of our side trips was to Brasstown Bald Mountain. Upon arriving you could either hike the last .8 of a mile or take the van to the top for $2. My wife and I walked the pave trail to the top. It took... More

On a clear day they say you can see the tall building in Atlanta and into the surrounding four states. The day we made it to the top you couldn't see quite that far, but the clouds were dissipating enough to see into the small towns down below us, and the mountain vistas in the distance. It was well worth... More
