We had been saying we would visit Brasstown Bald mountain for years and finally wheeled into the park after an outing in Blairsville. Like others have posted- there is a $5 fee per person. You can pay the man at the entrance or pay in the gift shop with a credit card if you are short on cash. They give... More

Brasstown Bald used to charge by the vehicle but now they charge $5 per adult (kids are free) but that includes the shuttle bus from the parking lot to the peak now, rather than an extra charge for the ride. It's only a 6/10 mile hike along a paved trail if you don't take the shuttle, but it's all uphill.... More

Beautiful sights. Wish there was a little more friendly interaction from the staff, they friendly but not forthcoming with info until asked. Well worth the trip up!

Brasstown Bald is a great place to visit. There is a short hike to get to the top (you can take a shuttle, but don't!), and it is a very enjoyable little hike. Once at the top, there is a great little observation area. I love the views, and there is a childlike joy in running around the castle-like areas,... More

My wife & I enjoy driving up to Brasstown Bald every time we visit Paradise Hills Resort in Blairsville, except when it's closed in the winter. It's now a National Park. They charge $5 per person unless you have a National Park pass, but it's well worth it. Once at the main parking area, you can take the shuttle up... More

Scenery makes you want to move here. So nice. Highest point in ga. Great views. You drive up so far then park. You ride up the rest of the way.

Was wonderful trip, I would recommend it to anyone. Unfortunately I am scared of heights LOL - so we did not take the van up to the highest point.

Spent a few hours here and had a nice time. The hike to the top is a bit tough because of the incline but the path was paved and nicely maintained. There is also a shuttle if you don't want to do the hike. The view was really beautiful even on an overcast day.

The mountains were beautiful and it had easily 130 peeks/hills that you can see from here. The drive was great and we visited in mid-June. It was a hot day when driving but it was cool and pleasant once we reached the mountain. The scenery was great and didn't realize Georgia or even the States had places like this. It... More

Great day trip from Helen GA. Terrific view of several states. Go on a clear day or call the park - it could be clear there and not where you are or vice versa. The rangers were very nice and informative. Take food and drink with you nice picnic area, plus it is a good distance from obtaining any. The... More
