We drove up from Blue Ridge about a 45 min drive. One of the write ups mentioned $3 to park, it's actually $5 per person over 15. At least it was on a Sunday. Good views, we bused it up and walked down. A number of people on the way up were struggling due to steep grade. 6/10 of mile,... More

Spectacular panoramic views, so worth the very steep drive up to the visitor's center. What was so pleasantly surprising is how cool it was - 62 degrees at 11A! They say it never gets above 82 - a very welcome respite from the sweltering GA summer heat. Staff very friendly. Simply gorgeous!

We were touring the area and heard about Brasstown Bald in the Chattahoochee National Forest. Our Senior Pass from the National Park Service took care of the $5pp entrance fee so all we had to pay was $2 for the shuttle to the top (absolutely worth it). The shuttle driver gave us some interesting information about the mountain on the... More

Great view if you can go on a clear day. Interesting museum. Excellent place for a picnic. Ride the bus to the top then walk down if you want a hike. They honor golden eagle pass.

Great scenery and wonderful volunteers to tell the history. A small museum to tell about the area. Very glad we took the trip.

Wow, what a view. It was a semi cloudy day and with the rising fog and moving clouds it was like playing peek-a-boo with the scenery. Wonderful history and great photo opportunity.

We were looking for something different for a day hike and wanted to try Brasstown Bald. We chose to hike from the parking area which is .6 miles on a paved path. It was steep but there are plenty of places to rest. The views were great and the displays at the top were very nice. This is worth the... More

The highest mountain in Georgia has a climate unlike the rest of the state. It is more similar to Massachusetts but less liberal. There are hiking trails to explore and your typical visitor center. The film is 20 minutes and it is just awful but you can appreciate remember what we had to endure as kids before there was real... More

At almost 4800 feet tall, Brasstown Bald Mountain is the highest point in Georgia. Nice Visitors Center at the very top with 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains and countryside. Nice exhibits and restrooms inside the center. Parking area is at a considerably lower elevation, with a rather steep trail to get to the summit where the visitor's center... More
