For me, this theater has the best pop-corn I have the pleasure to enjoy at any time, anyplace. On top of that, they have first-run movies at the same time as anywhere in the city, for a cheaper ticket and the opportunity to sit in a theater with character. I welcome a rainy day at the cottage if it means... More

We have been coming to movies at Highland Cinemas for over 10 years--an amazing endevour in the middle of nowhere. Five theatres filled with relics/furnishings from some of the grandest theatres in Canada. The movies are current releases, the snack bar rivals the big chains with many new items added this summer.Reasonably priced food and tickets. Also a jam-packed museum... More

I love this movie theatre. Character is abound for full marks. Each theatre there is unique. Standard popcorn and snacks bar. Seating is comfortable with major up to date movies playing. Easy in, easy parking, friendly service. The best part is that it is a complete movie equipment museum. You will love it. Www.highlandscinemas.com. The theatre with more seats than... More

I love seeing a movie at this cinema. It is like no other cinema in the world. There is a small movie museum that is fun to walk through and to reflect on all the changes that have taken place in such a short time. The seats in the viewing rooms are comfortable and there is lots of leg room.... More

We've been going to the Highlands Cinemas in Kinmount for years and not just because it's the only movie theatre in the area. It takes us over an hour to drive there from our cottage, but it's always worth the trip. The theatres are small but they have all the latest equipment and the collection of movie posters, projectors, and... More

Every summer I have to come to this theatre at least once. I love all the decor and walking thru the little museum. It's a great atmosphere and so much fun.

We rent a cottage on Pigeon Lake every summer with our families and every year we come back to Highland Cinemas. It's become a tradition because although it's a bit of a trek for us, it's completely worth it and we can't imagine missing it! We've managed to get some of the older crowd out who loved it just as... More

This old theatre continues to be a local highlight. Seasonal only, it is summer fun as it should be.

This movie house is quirky with a difference. It is 1/2 museem and 1/2 moview theatre. I like it in that the costs are reasonable, has many choices and is easy to get to. The only think I didn't like was since you line up outside, when it is buggy you know it.

No-one could ever be disappointed by a trip to this Theatre. First of all it is a multiplex in a town that is way too small to even have a single theatre! So you have the benefit of your choice of kid and adult movies. When you pull in you will feel like you are parking in a campground -... More
