A unique experience, just bring a flashlight and bug spray. One to find your car and the other for the mosquitoes

wow...what a great experience. Lots to see (and not just the movie) and who would know a 5 movie theater hidden in the Highlands. Highly recommended.

Great place to go when you are in the area. Lots of fun and sentimental walk down memory lane. Only sad that there were no previews before the movie. I love to watch those.

Tucked away just north of Kinmount is a quirky little cinema called the Highland Cinema. This is just more than a cinema its also a museum. You will see so many cool old projectors, cameras etc... here that date back over a hundred years, it will put a smile on your face. What ever your show time is go at... More

On a rainy Saturday night went to see one of the movies. Such a neat place! 100% worth visiting for the ambiance alone. Gets pretty busy

There are 5 theatres showing newly released movies. Nice little museum to browse, good snack bar. The parking lot is unique with parking among the trees, spots tucked into every available space and 'speed bumps' to keep it slow going. Love this place and each theatre has its own interesting décor.

I love the Highlands theatre. With 5 theatres seating about 50 people in each theatre in comfy seats, an excellent selection of current movies, matinees every tues- thurs, its a perfect break from the cottage on a rainy day. There are the usual popcorn, treats etc for sale, but bring enough cash for tickets and snacks as they do not... More

Brilliant use of space to display movie artifacts. 1 part theatre, 2 parts museum. Cash only. Small theatre seats. Fun night out!

We have never been but had heard about this cinema for years. It is a very cool building with amazing displays though out It brings back found memories of childhood. The theatres are quaint and tastefully done from the 70s. Seats are squeaky but very comfortable. Young staff at the candy bar were in good spirits. If you are 50... More

We have been coming up to our cottage in the Kawartha region for my entire life and I have never been to the Highlands Cinema. This week, after days and days of rain we took our kids to see a movie. Apparently, we were among every cottager known to cottage country with the same idea! Though we didn't get into... More
