Enjoyed visiting this museum. Unfortunately we missed the Matisse exhibition by a few days. It is worth 'phoning ahead to see what is on display. We also took advantage of strolling around the lovely Rollins college campus. Attractive Spanish-Mediterranean style buildings and beautifully maintained grounds. Worth a visit.

To start, the museum is on the Rollins College campus which is worth looking at in and of itself. To get to the museum, turn left at the light off of Fairbanks into the campus's gated entrance and then left on Holt Avenue to the end of the road. There are a few parking spots in front of the museum... More

The intimacy of the gallery is matched by the often very hip juxtaposition of traditional and more post modern mediums of expression such as photographs and mixed media. The exhibit I commented on during a public talk in September, for example was a display of Florida birds done in three dimensional painted paper shapes representative of the species the artist... After visiting the Morse Museum, one naturally wants to see the Cornell because it is just a few blocks away and shares a history and legacy with the Morse The Bessemer Trust is currently underwriting free admission, so this is an especially good time to visit. This is a small college teaching museum, so it utilizes a thematic approach. There... More

This is a small museum sitting on the lakeside at Rollings College. It has an historical variety of art displayed in several rooms.

This museum is located on the campus of Rollins College right by a lake. It started in 1978--there is a permanent collection with some top notch artists and presently, there is a temporary exhibit of excellent Matisse prints. Interesting museum that is free to the public--they are open from 10 to 4 during the week and 12 to 5 on... More

While small in size it is impressive in what it presents and represents. We were fortunate to visit when a collection of Matisse etchings were being featured. The permanent collection is high quality and should be pleasing to various tastes.

As part of our museum hop around Orlando, we stopped at the Cornell on the grounds of Rollins College in Winter Park. It is certainly one of the smaller museums we have explored, but still there were several exhibits that we enjoyed. Upon entering the building, the first exhibit you see is one of 'birds of Florida' made out of... More
