We picked Cypress Gardens because, as older adults, we are tired of the mega parks with long lines and short ride times. We had been to Silver Springs the last few times down so we decided to try the "new" Cypress Gardens. While the Gardens and Topiary are nice, the parked lacked "something." The empty parking lot was a jolt... more

Unfortunately, the last time I checked these reviews was prior to the April and June 09 postings! So we went to the gardens expecting them to be the same as last time in early '08. We were pleasantly surprised not to be charged for parking, then noticed the car park was almost empty - strange! We thought, perhaps it was... more

My family and I visited in the summer of 2008 and we were pleasantly suprised with how nice the park was. We have two young girls at the time ages 4 and 7 and the park had so many things to do. The gardens were beautiful which I enjoyed tremendously and my daughters loved seeing all the animals. As for... more

...than you and your family having fun. This place has been in a shaky evolution for years now. It's become kinda like a box of chocolates. When you show up, you never know what's going to be there, but not in that good surprise way. Sort of more like a "I wonder what kind of fist they will hit me... more

I found out they are doing this $5 for all deal on one day. We made the 45 min drive from Orlando to find it over filled but that's due to the deal, Its most likely empty on normal days. The rides are like the ones you find in a State fair. The place is beat up, the Halloween stuff... more

I took my 5 year old daughter to Cypress Gardens in July 2008 after receiving a coupon in the mail for one free and one half priced admission. So figuring I had nothing to lose, I decided to go. This is a very nice local theme park--it's not a tourist destination like Disney or Universal so they focus primarily on... more

Though it may not have the thrilling rides that some of the other parks have in Florida, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here (July 08). This was the first time we had been here in 5 visits to Florida and I would visit again as I didn't manage to have a good look around the gardens. It is great for... more

My girlfriend and I visited on a mid-July Sunday and I read all the previous reviews to prepare for the following: - Parking is $7 and there is no way around this unless you park across the street at a nearby restaurant or business and hope that you don't get towed. - There are virtually no lines for any of... more

The park is very nice and clean. It is best suited for families with SMALL children (not more than ten years of age). The park is about 30 minutes (or so) from downtown Disney. There are no long lines at all. It is a simple old style (vintage) park. We live in Florida and have been to Disney (and just... more

I wouldn't pay more than $19.99 per person to get into this place. I made the 45 minute drive from Tampa because we got 2 tickets for $22 total, otherwise I would have never spent the $40 per ticket (plus $7 parking). The rides are very similiar to what you will see at the state fair. The roller coasters fail... more
