West palm is one of my favorite public courses in the area. It was no water. But lots of waste sand. It is always in pretty good shape all around. Did notice some greens run at much different speeds. Always well priced. Everyone is very nice and friendly.

I have played here for years but they literally took out all of the trees and replaced them with sand. In windy conditions you need to wear goggles so that the sand doesn't blow in your eyes. The clubhouse has been deemed unfit so they are going to have to rebuild it. It is a great place with a historic... More

This course was full of waste areas, they call them traps, but not. The course didn't have any character nor aesteics. The good thing was it did move well, played in less than 4 hours.

Thank you for playing West Palm Beach Municpal Golf Course. The golf course was restored in 2009 to play more like the renowned architect Dick Wilson intended when it was designed in 1947. The restoration returned it to a "links" style course with some broad native/natural waste areas very similar to Pinehurst #2 that just hosted the US Open. We... More

Course was nice to play, not much water but sand enough. Almost as a dessert course. But fairways dry, greens also but some faster than others. Good overall experience but clubhouse was out of use and so facilities were not up to the standards. Pace of play a bit over 4 ½ hrs. Course is recommendable but be aware that... More

This was the first course I played in Florida for many years. I played 9 holes one day to miss the rain and 18 the next. Course employees were very helpful and the cost at $45 was very reasonable. There is lots of sand on the course, but the sand is well kept and if you have any skill with... More

I've been playing West Palm Muni the last 5 years. Great course for the money another reviewer said he paid $100 with cart. No way he paid that as a single highest rate 45 dollars out of county residents during the season

Thanks for the review. This course since 1947 has been dedicated to serving the public with great affordable golf. That staff tries hard to keep pace of play around four hours for an enjoyable experience. Hope to see you again soon. More

This is a municipal course that sees lots of bad players. But we still played in less than four hours. Staff is friendly and greens fees cheap on the summer. The course is fairly easy. Most players will shoot below their handicap. All in all, not a bad experience.

This course apparently is a redesign by Jack Nicklaus. He did a great job creating a fun and exciting public course for the city of W. Palm Beach. There is a lot of sand and water and wind. The greens are probably too hilly and are very fast (similar to the The Gallery at Dove Mountain in Tucson where they... More

No water hazard on the golf course but sand on every hole. For a municipal course it was in very good condition. Sand along the fairway and traps around the greens makes it a difficult course but enjoyable course.

This is good value for money in the area, extra bonus was that my 13 yr son got Junior discount, not common in FL I understand. Quite long course from blue tees, but we played from white. Slow pace first, but rangers fixed that later. Not bad idea with waste bunkers instead of water, no lost balls...
